Okay, I work in my school's library(high school),and I was asked to deliver a pass to some 11th grader down the hall. I get to the room, walk in, I see a TV hooked to an X-box, and four people playing HALO:combat evolved. I gave the pass to the teacher. I walked out stunned and confused...........

Woah, that is really weird...I was actually just playing Halo in school today with 3 other dudes in the physics lab...Being a senior, you really realize where your priorities rank.

I think thats pretty common now-a-days. I see gamecubes, xboxs, playstations all the time at my school. Sometimes 4 GBAs hooked up to each other, all supplied by the teacher.

The chemistry teacher at my friend's school let's his students hook up game systems to the TV in his room and play them during the end of the day when lots of kids have free blocks and he doesn't have classes to teach... *shrugs*
They've only ever played SNES though... No new stuff... And I havn't seen a single person with a GBA there (although I know someone who has one)... yep...
Their school is a hippie school though...

I know people in the Tech Ed class used to bring consoles and hook them up to the TV in there (the Tech Ed teacher used his supply budget to buy a decent sized TV and DVD player for the Tech Ed room instead fo supplies...). I know they also went in at lunch and played Counter-Strike on the computers in there...
I was never in Tech Ed though a friend of mine was so...
*shrugs and walks away*

My Senior Project (for English) consisted of me bringing in all the Nintendo consoles/handhelds and I brought SSB:M for a tournament thing. Thats about the most I've seen as consoles being played in HS. Then 2 years before, I brought in Perfect Dark (English again, heh) as a demo for "future weapons" since me and a few friends were doing a presentation on weapons and I got the topic of futuristic weapons. So it worked out good. I haven't really walked into a classroom in which other people are playing something, but eh, I won't be anymore.

Anyway, I'm in College, and I see a lot of PC game playing and GBAs... no Xboxes or Ps2s on campus though.

Come on now, kids....
"Masturbating is a completely normal and natural thing....
But then, why do people make such a big deal out of it?
That's a good question. America is very purantanical in it's thinking. It thinks sex, as a whole, is a filthy, dirty activity.
America also boasts the largest incidences of rape and violent crime... Coincidence? I don't think so..."

Back on topic. My friends and I used to play GBA in school all the time. They made a rule banning games from school just for the four of us (but none of the teachers followed it). Towards the end of the school year (I graduated this year), we brought in tons of mulitplayer games.

Yes. But that's a fairly complicated issue. Thinking and doing are two very different things.

Wellt his confirms my fears that public schools are going to H*ll in a handbasket;
Terror Alert Level: Code ORange
Education Alert Leve: CODE RED!!!
Let's see it's amazing how lame public schools are these days, if I wanted to take a class in gaming I'm pretty sure Cammie Fu Fu could teach it and it would be tactics taught under "Military Intelligance" which isn't something I'd be interested in, well not unless I got to play against da "Fu in CS.
