Can't wait for this one. God bless Squaresoft. I understand it's not like other FF games (a bit different) which is why I'm even more excited because FF games are getting a bit tedious (but I still love em).

This is the first game Square and Enix are working together on. Hopefully they will both use their great talent to create a great RPG. I have high hopes for this game. :)

I thought Game Designer Studios, the company founded by Fund Q for the purpose of making this game, was doing it.

I finally saw the trailer. This game is looking gorgeous!
Travelling by carriage and by boat? Hope the worlds are as huge (and inhabited) as that implies. The environments have that FF7-esque look to it...that fantastic, adventurous feel. Battles look fun as well.
Damn, I may not be able to take advantage of the 4-player capability. :baby:
I must read some more info on this game(had it on the back-burner).
Water effects...

I love the artistic stylings
I haven't read much about this title...what kind of RPG is it? Turn based? Real time? Battle-oriented?

Real time. Think PSO.
That's what I've read.
*shrugs and walks away*
Real time. Yeah, like PSO or Gauntlet or games close to that, but in the gameplay style of Kingdom Hearts. It looks like Square's getting rid of turn-based gameplay, slowly.. slowly. :(
If you use your gameboy as a controller though, how could you get more directions than 8? I hope it's not going to be too hard.

I hate most turn base games anyway. They annoy mr.

I think they're alrite, but I'll take Real Tiem over Turned Base any day. Though I thought FFX did real a good job with it.

Just one thing. This game won't be like the Ps2 FF's. It looks like a PSO type game , which is why I'm pumped to get it (not that I don't like FFX, I love it, but I just want a change).
And if you have friends (that are willing to play this game with you) you can play up to 4 players.
I have 4 mates with 4 GB SP's and we are gonna finish it. CANNOT WAIT

I don't want to ruin the game for you guys, but I just don't think the game will be that good.
If you play the game alone (1 player), you won't have any allies with you in battle. It'll only be one person.... And not only that, it's going to be a lot like Legend of Mana (PS1 crap) where you have to get new items and set it on the world map to enter new areas.
But whatever, I am still getting it.

.... You don't think the game will be good but you're still getting it?
It won't only be you if you don't have any friends. The AI will control the characters that aren't controlled by people, I think.

I know, I mentioned FFX did well as a turn base RPG.

I'm welcoming the change only because I feel like something different. I'm not expecting FFX type stuff, but from what I've seen and how it plays, even 1 player looks awesome

Nope, you see, there's the problem. If you don' have 3 other people to play with, you'll be alone. No AI. Just a single character.
And the reason I will be buying iut is because it's Square's first project on a Nintendo console in a very long time. I just have to try it out.
