Well, I wonder why UbiSoft held off this announcement for post-e3 when they could have done it before (like planned originally) or during e3 for a bigger spalsh. Anyhow here are the first details on the new Splinter Cell..
Ubi Soft has officially announced Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, the next installment in the Splinter Cell series. The game, which is currently in development for multiple platforms, will have a more-cinematic feel and more-realistic environments. More importantly, Pandora Tomorrow will have a strong online multiplayer component--several players will be able to participate in online multiplayer missions along with Sam Fisher.
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow is scheduled for release in Q1 2004.

Well, I wanted to know why you start every thread with 'Well,"...;)
It would be cool to see SC2 and MGS3 launch at the same time to see which one would sell better...

especially if they were on the same platforms... also, i don't know if it was mentioned in another thread (probably ;) ) but the MGS3 engine is being developed with and online mode in mind... i think SOCOM's success really opened everyone's eyes

you know what was funny to me was that i recommended the game to a casual gaming co worker who likes military stuff, and it had won those awards and stuff, and he has a PS2... so he comes in and tells me "I AM THE SPLINTER CELL!" whatever that means in the game... all saying how great it was... cool... then like a week later, I asked him how it was going, etc.. he was like "I returned it, didn't like it, got boring"... talk about a turnaround! but, eh, he's a casual gamer

I wasn't much a fan of SC. Perhaps I was just spoiled with MGS.

Yeah, Splinter Cell was good. But I'd rather play MGS... Or better yet Deus Ex....

I swear I heard the announcement of SC2 somewhere during E3. Or maybe it was just a very hot rumor?

you know, now that i read my post again, i can't believe how stupid that sounded! i guess what i really meant was that i wouldn't trust HIS particular opinion on a game that won numerous accolades... wait a sec... do I sound that stupid in all my posts?
