I was recommended this game from somebody @ work, and I thought "what the hell".
It's not bad. I am up to level 5 or 6. Overall as a platformer, I think it's quite good.
How do I think it compares to Mario Sunshine you ask?
Currently and honestly I don't think it does compare. IMO it doesn't nearly feel as good as playing Mario Sunshine. Not because I am a Nintendo fan, but with Mario Sunshine I picked up and wanted to play more and more. Much more exploration and freedom, and it just feels more polished.
With R&C I don't feel like continuing through the levels. I find the levels a bit dull. The weapons are great so far though, and I like the type of humour it gives off, but still I find the game a bit boring overall.
The controls I find frustrating. In between saving, and changing weapons, I'm always stuffing up and I find it real irrotating.
Overall (from what I've played) I don't think this game should be compared to MS because after playing MS, this game don't play so good (IMO). I will play this game more and see how I go however

First of all, glad you bought this game. It's fantastic. After the first few levels, I thought it was 'good', but once I got into the mid-latter levels I was amazed.
Personally, I think this game is quite a bit better than SMS.

Perfect Stu, I'm curious, do you own a Gamecube?

nope, but I have played SMS. probably not enough of it to make a fair comparison between it and R&C though...

I think he meant to say that from what he has played of SMS, he feels that RandC is the superior game... Although it truly is not a fair comparison because he has not put equal playing hours into both games.

I haven't beaten either of them, but from what I've played, I as well like Ratchet and Clank but I don't think it's as good as Mario in any way.

I tried to take back my comment in a sense...I realized that I didn't play enough of the game to make a fair comparison to a game I've beaten. I thought that was apparent
Maybe I should just edit my posts :p

Xbox games are "platinium"
PS2 are "greatest hits"
Nintendo is "million seller" (or it was I don't know if that's what it's called anymore, I kind of doubt all of the titles in the nintendo budget line have sold a million.)

Actually, the Nintendo's buget line used to be called ''Players Choice Million Seller''
I believe now its just ''Players Choice'' or ''Players Choice Greatest Hit'' or something like that.

Well, if Xbox or GCN's greatest hits line or "Platinum Hits" and "Player's Choice" respectively were to be based on what games sold a million, GCN would have 2 games and Xbox would have one.
