The June issue of the UK car magazine EVO has an exclussive 5 page interview with Kazunori Yamauchi..... they caught up with him at the recent UK Millbrook testing event (mentioned in the TVR thread). In the article there are 8 pictures which appear to be from GT4 (sorry I haven't got a scanner!)..... most appear to be renders but two look very interesting...... the first shows what appears to be replay action on the Tsukuba circuit, the second shows a reply view of an EVO VIII Tommi Makinen rally car crossing the finishing line of the Grand Canyon - Tuweep rally course!

Some photos from Millbrook showed the following cars...... TVRs (as previously reported), Jaguar (maybe Type R?), Noble M12 GTO, Aston Vantage convertible, Rolls Royce/Bentley, Leading Edge RT240, Caterham Fireblade, Triumph TR6? and a selection of vintage cars that I didn't recognise.

Other snippets from the interview:

"GT4 is due out by Xmas 2003"...... believe that when I see it especially as it was implied that this was a UK release!

"over 1000 cars will be included in GT4"

amazingly, those pictures (except for the one with the people in it, obviously) are using the game engine.

I can't believe how this game exists

I mean...DAMN...Do the PD guys never sleep? That game looks almost photo realistic, there are hundreds upon hundreds of cars, lots of tracks, ONLINE GAMEPLAY, customization...and it's on the weakest of the three primary consoles

This could be THE defining game on the PS2...THE reason to go online with the system...Attention to detail, folks...it pays off.

wow?

I'm sure I read that there will be real time damage on cars implemented in the game.
