Square Enix USA today announced its lineup of titles scheduled for display at next month's Electronic Entertainment Expo. There are few surprises in store, but some very fine games indeed. The listing is as follows, with accompanying release dates:

PlayStation 2

Final Fantasy X-2 -- Fall 2003
Final Fantasy XI -- June 2003 (Beta)
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time -- Spring 2004
Drakengard -- Spring 2004
UNLIMITED: SaGa -- June 2003

PC

Final Fantasy XI -- July 2003 (Beta)

Gamecube

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles -- 2003

Game Boy Advance

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance -- 2003
Sword of Mana -- 2003

Drakengard, for the curious, was announced in Japan under the title Drag-On Dragoon. It's an action-RPG combining third-person action and dragon flight combat, developed by veterans of the Ace Combat series, among others. It's also worth noting that there is no official release date for the retail versions of Final Fantasy XI -- the dates listed above are for the beginning of the public beta tests.

Why God? Why...?

I've been waiting for this game ever since 2001. It has been my number 1 most wanted game ever since, and now.......

Good line up. And I'm pretty pissed off that SO3 got delayed an entire year.
