seriously bro.

gameing online is not meant for a 56k modem.

you can try turning all the gfx on low as possible. but really only thing thats going to help you is to get a cable or dsl connection and ditch the 56k

What games do you play?? WarCraft 3?? StarCraft??

I love Blizzard games... :)

And yeah you should try to get broadbant internet, so much better :D

Well, that's an easy question, get a cable connection. Null is 100% correct, if you have 56k, don't even try to play games online. It's probably not fun for you, and makes games not fun for other people. Stupid people on UT lagging around.

You could try playing when not many people are online, like in the morning. :)
Other than that, get cable or DSL.

I have a question. I sometimes find myself lagging while playing Tiberian Sun...could this have anything to do with my computer being over 4 years old? Or is lagging only related to your connection?

lol...if you play online, and the game works properly but the response of the infantry or whatever is slow then its your connection, but if its single player, then it's your comp...

Do the other players say you lag? Because it may just seem lag to you because your PC can't handle all the units or something... I think.

I'm not much of a computer gamer, but 56k gaming on the Dreamcast was a completely viable option. Lag was rarely a serious issue. Maybe things aren't the same on the PC side of gaming.

You know, that's what I thought when I was playing games on 56k, but then I saw cable and realized that my 56k sucked total ***. But, I'm sure you've played on cable, I was just saying....

But yeah, I do think things are a little different from DC to PC. But then again, couldn't DC gamers play with PC gamers? I don't know, never had the system.
