I definitely can't wait for this game. Harvest Moon games are really fun.

The graphics are decent. Could be better, but I've seen how not so great graphics could equate to great gameplay. I haven't played Harvest Moon since the '64 days, so this I will be watching to see how it turns out. I like how its more of a real 3D now and there is more detail to your home, outside, and anywhere else.

The gardens look pretty disappointing. Every tomato, flower, leaf, is exactly the same. They at least could have created a couple models for each plant so it didn't look like a stale dollhouse.

Yeah... I agree, GameMaster.

the game looks fun... I just hope they do soemthing about the graphics... I know the Gamecube has more potential than that. =\

Looks good. The graphics aren't the best ever, but Harvest Moon has never been much of a graphics heavy series.
I'm glad they got rid of the top-down perspective though.

This game looks like ****.
Might be good though. I've never played a harvest moon game.

If you haven't played the game download the Snes emulation of it... heard it addict. I read up about it... sounds good. It's like Animal Crossing or the likes of it.

In Harvest Moon your goal is to develop a prosperous farm. You have animals, and you can grow vegetables and fruit. You can sell what you produce for money, then you can use that money for a variety of things. There are also often numerous sidequests. Also, you get to have a wife (you get to pick who to marry), and I hear in this one you can even have kids and make them work the farms. That should be cool.

While ive never actually owned one, I rented the 64 version 2 times. I really enjoyed it. It was better than I thought...raising crops dosent really sound like fun, but it is.

Yeah, goats were on the top of my most wanted improvements for this series.

I bought this game for €12. Oops, correction: my sisters bought it. :D
I kind of like it. Stupid thing is that we're not growing any crops, since they make like 15G per crop and are a LOT of work (watering twice every day). Instead, we're into fishing. :p Fishing is easy (you can read a book or watch TV while you're waiting for a rumble) and some fishes make 1000G. :D
We're also into cows and trees. And chickens of course (nice because I now have 8, while I only bought 3).
Does anyone else have this game???

The reason I didn't like this one as much as the N64 one (which I absolutly LOVE) is because of the lack of emphasis placed on growing crops.
That was my favorite part of HM64, and I was dissapointed when I realized you could not make a living on crops.
Plus, the lack of festivals was deeply disturbing.
My girlfriend, however, is deeply attached the female version of the Game. :\

I was hoping for a watering can that sprayed 4 or even 9 squares at once. And the same with hoes and sickles...
By the way, does it matter where I place trees?

It seems like I recall reading that it's best to plant trees in the fields closer to your house and use the more fertile ones for crops.
But, if you aren't going to plant crops, I'd say put the trees there.
