For Multiple console owners only... if you had to drop 1 or 2 of your consoles and only get to keep one for the remainder of this generation, which would you keep?

Ok I own a X-Box and PS2. I'll be getting my cube in 7-10 days.

If I was to drop one console it would be X-Box.

If 2 consoles... damn... X-Box and... no can't give up my PS2 or GCN... Screw I drop both PS2 and X-Box.

Seriosuly I would go for GCN because I would get a GBA player and would have cool Snes+new games (like Metriod Fusion too enjoy)

*hope that doesn't sound like cheating, because I combine 2 systems in 1*

I personally don't see how any gamer could live with just a gamecube... *shrugs*

Some of us dont have all day to play games like you. Therefore one console is plenty.

I have a Gamecube and PS2, and I'd drop my PS2 without doubt. Almost every PS2 game I own or want is also on/gonna come out for Gamecube. Other than GTA 3, NHL 2002, and is Ghost Recon on Gamecube? On Gamecube, I have Mario, Smash Bros, Monkey Ball 2, Eternal Darkness, Zelda... I barely even play my PS2 as it is.

Yup, GR is on the GC.

I don't have all day to play games though... I havn't been playing games as much lately, plus I've been doing more things with my friends which I actually have now...

I have all three. I'd drop the XBox and PS2. I don't actually own any games for the XBox and while do enjoy my PS2, I enjoy the GCN more (Zelda.......:D).

Well seen as the Ps2 is the oldest of the Xbox and Gc, I would scrap this because I've played the blockbuster games and have been very satisfied with them (Square games basically). And GTAIII. There are still great games coming for Ps2, but I prefer what the GC has to offer.

And if it was 2 consoles to scrap, the Xbox would be the second. I am looking forward to many GC games (even though Xbox will have some stellar titles coming up).

Gc will have Zelda (a new Mario game) Mario Tennis/Kart (i hope!), Retro, Pokemon, Silicon Knights, some promising Capcom games (The Capcom 5, I hope they don't ruin these!), and future unannounced titles from Nintendo EAD and other companies.

So I'd keep my GC

Seriously though; I'd have to drop Xbox and GCN...PS2 got all my fighters (multi and exclusive) and all the RPG's (.hizzack quadset, Crossgate, DragonQuest, EverCrack, Not-So-Final Fantasy, Star Ocean 3, Grandia, etc), and of course every good third party game on Xbox and GCN with less graphical prowess...but I don't damn care; it's the games that matter, and quite frankly it strikes me mighty strange when I totally agree with Stu on something like this.

Point being, Perfect Dark, Killer Instinct, Metroid Prime Zero and RE4 CANNOT keep me from playing Guilty Gear, Tekken, GTA, GT3, Street Fighter, and Devil May Cry. Facts are facts.

PS2 has the most games... It just covers way TOO many genres perfectly to ignore.

lol... I think he is trying to say that Ps2 is the best console genre for genre, but GCN has more life changing (;)) games that he can't live without.

Now for my reply... I say Ps2 because it's the only console getting the full EA Spots, Sega Sports, and EA Big line up of games this year. Sports being my favorite genre, this is a huge advantage.

Ps2 also has an online plan that a 56ker like me can respect... as long as I can keep downloading updated rosters to NBA 2k3 and Madden I'm just fine.

As for other titles... Ps2 has more than enough to satisfy me in every genre.

That’s a hard question for me I seem to switch between each of my consoles at this point in time I could not give up my Gamecube for any thing as I’m playing MP a lot and soon it will be Z:WW. But after that there really are no games left this year IMO that are any good for the system (never liked Fzero). The Xbox on the other hand has a lot of exclusives on the way this year or the start of next year that I can’t wait to see Fable, BC, Doom3, Half life2, the new Counter strike, MotoGP 2, Midtown madness, True fantasy’s online and of course Xbox live which in my mind is a must for any one who really wants to play games AI sucks major ass. As for PS2 there are some games coming that I want for it but I think E3 will show a lot more love Sony console.

If I had to drop one it would have to be the PS2, if I had to drop two it would be the PS2 and Gamecube. I like my Gamecube a lot but Nintendo games alone would not be enough to keep me going and its 3rd party support leaves a lot to be desired. If it came just down to the amount of games it would have to have been the PS2 but I feel the hardware should be a factor in this Xbox live total rocks! :D








But some one really should ask this again after E3 my opinion could change along with others.
