Old School, or New School?

NBA Street Volume 2 is the sequel to the million-seller NBA Street from EA Sports’ BIG division. It promises a lot of the same high intensity, in-your-face streetball action, plus much more. The game also features 25 of the NBA’s greatest legends, including Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan from the late 80’s. Gameplay modes include:

Pick-up game
-1-4 players supported
-New ‘My Rules’ feature includes:
---Dunks Only
---Trick Challenge
---Old School rules
---Gamebreaker Wins
---AND MORE

NBA Challenge
-Single player or with a friend, take on all 29 NBA teams. An NBA legend will have a team ready to challenge you after each region is defeated

Be a Legend
-Create a streetballer. Upgrade your player’s skills with points you earn from your wins on the court. Customize dunks, trick abilities and more.

New Moves include:
-Passes off the back board
-Bouncing the b-ball off your opponents head…humiliation at its finest
-More control and flexibility over alley-oop passes

Geez...a guy spends a good handful of minutes putting together a nice little game feature and what does he get in return?

a metaphorical kick in the nuts...great, JUST great...

;)

On a related note, I hear Joeiss' jump shot is nearly identical to most people's grandmammas' :p

This is looking sweet, though...I will demand my friends to buy a multi-tap, so they can bring it over when we play some 4 player streetball. I'm thinking about an Rafer Alston - MoPeterson - Mamadou N'djiaye combination  :D

I dont like sports games, in fact I almost hate them. But I have to admit, NBA street 1 was a very good game, even though it didnt suit my personal tastes (I hate the genre, but I can still recognize whether the game is good or not). It was especially fun on 2-player, chances are my friends will rent it and I'll eventually get some play time on it.

Seeing quality in non-preferred genres is worthy of respect...I see why people could be totally immersed in RPG's, but at the same time I don't find myself enjoying them as much as a select number of other genres.

I'm not certain about this, but I think that NBA Street has outsold any other basketball game this gen. That says something about its quality...streetball game > basketball simulation

*edit* oooh, and another thing. the next feature thing will be for Silent Hill 3.
