yeah, the penguin already posted this, but new details emerge:

it will be in the "next" EGM magazine, in this months issue, the last page, it says:

Rogue Squadron III

Set a course for the unsucky side of the star wars galaxy, (sorry episode 1) Rogue Squadron III lets you relive more of the finest momemts from the classic trilogy. All we'll say right now is that the Ewok infested forest of Endor haven't been explored at near light speed since the Super Nintendo side-scrollers, and there are other ways to drop an Imperial Walker when you can't lasso it's legs.

get anyone excited?

I would rather move past the original trilogy and go into the Expanded Universe. There's only so much you can do with three movies worth of stuff....

But besides that, I'm excited. I hope this one has more levels than RL...

*wonders what the graphics will look like*

Yeah, better be more levels than Rogue Leader. I'm glad that they didn't move it into the Prequel time frame, too many people hate those movies.

Matt added answered a Question in his mailbag relating to it:

Matt responds: Yeah, I saw that EGM confirmed it. Obviously it's true. The game has been in development for a good while and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at just how cool and different it's going to be.

I can't wait for the next EGM now! I want to see the first screens of RL III just to see how much better it will look over RL II. This is one game out of many that I will keep under close radar for awhile.

Next, EGM is due on mid/late-April, e3 is in mid-May, I think you will see them in the next EGM before e3 rolls around...
