HOLY JESUS CHRIST!!!! Brian buy this game. Its like Konami kidnapped Visual Concepts and made them make a soccer game. It plays great and has an incredibly elaborate Master mode. It also sports a bunch of 2k2-style mini-games that hones your skills and allows you to unlock teams (I'm guessing).

The only real drawbacks with the game are a lack of an actual FIFA license (all the teams are "based" on real club teams and players but are changed around... what's cool is, however, you can fully edit their flags and uniforms if you desperately want real teams) and the pretty blah graphics. Never the less it plays great and sports more fluid and better animation than FIFA, and it just PLAYS great. Worth a look if you even remotely like soccer....

I've been playing this since SNES days, and I've always preferred it over Fifa 99 etc.

Bobcat, you're half right... ISS 'used' to own (especially on the N64), but it's just naff compared to WE11 (PES) now.

There's a guy somewhere in England who will change all the players names and stuff if you send your memory card to him with £10...

Huh? Isn't ISS the same game as WE?

ISS is the PAL name and WE is NTSC?

I thought it was vice versa.

Nope, ISS and WE/PES are totally different football games, though both are made by Konami.

WE is known as Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) in PAL regions.

PES is the superior football game by far (SOOOO much better than Fifa and ISS).

Pro Evolution (isn't there a Pro Evolutiion ISS??)

I'm really confused. I don't even know what soccer game I'm playing. I'm sure the one on Ps2 I have is ISS Pro Evolution Soccer

Check the cover again. Does it say ISS2? Or does it say Pro Evolution Soccer 1/2? Because the PS2 has ISS2 and Pro Evolution 1/2. ISS3 will soon be coming out, as will PES3.

Note: If it has Pro Evolution in the title, it must be a Pro Evolution Soccer/Winning Eleven Game.
