I highly doubt these are in-game. But Tecmo games always have great graphics anyway.

New? Those are shots from the trailer taken in a super resolution.

Yes, they are in-game. Team Ninja rules.

Well, the super resolution screenshots were posted at the website where I got them from not too long ago.

And are you sure those are in-game? I haven't really been following Ninja Gaiden...

Yes, the whole trailer was in-game. Those screenshots have absolute superior quality which probably make your eyes go "". Like, this, definitely, for example:

I'm guessing they had some good quality Xbox setup and were playing DOAX.. because those seem to be the exact angles from the trailer.

Still, if they really have improved the quality, I applaud them. :D

Fear the power of the Xbox! What makes them so good is the fact that Team Ninja has some excellent men who work amazingly well with polygons. Heck, the DOA girls are a merit on their own. Tremendous work. What we have here is excellently crafted polygons.. with deep textures, with spectacular lighting effects. That's all you need to have great graphics--and Xbox can surely pull off something of this proportion. Team Ninja's Tappin in, boy. :D

They look tremendous...although I'd like to see some gameplay screens

Oh, and Dyne...do you really think these shots portray such amazing lighting effects? I don't get the same impression, but meh

IMO, those shots aren't all that impressive- especially the one Dyne showed above.

Why? The textures aren't high-res. Look in the top right corner of the pic where envrionment gets concave. Blurry "stone brick" texture that isn't bumpmapped in the least. "tapping the Xbox power"? Not here. Also the water has a nice reflection map, but no water refraction of the reflected objects/light passing through it- just ripples diguising the effect as seen in the video. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Enclave, and StarFox Adventures have pulled this off, so why can't Tecmo?

Sorry, I tend to forget this is just an E3 trailer of an incomplete game...forgive me; but I've got more bitches/gripes:

Ryu himself looks very plastic with no effects, and no skinning (which can be seen more in the vid). The water effects (ripples, splashes) are sprites instead of realtime polygonal physics, and the lighting in quite a few places is a bit off. But eh, I'm just being picky...

What DOES impress, though- is screen 24 and 27 that Bond posted showing lots of polygonal architecture from a distance (which isn't ingame btw; partly demo here with no chars). The detail in screen 27 is excellent with the individual floor tiles, eerily reminiscient of Metroid Prime, Splinter Cell, and Eternal Darkness.

Query: Why does this game seem to be taking to the Arcade version of the original gameplaywise instead of the more successful NES trilogy? Where the f$#k is Irene?

I forgot what I was going to say..... OH YEAH! I forgot the reason I don't own this....

Hey, I think those might be in game graphics, the reason is.... You know how DOA 3 looks? Well, that game has extremely good graphics.... and I think this one will too.
