One of the head honchos over at MS recently did an interview with IGN. Here are some highlights:
1) Unannounced Rare game to be released this year.
2) Fable to be released this year, not in 2004.
3) Closer relationship with SEGA
4) Close to online deal with EA
5) 5 Rare games released by end of 2004.
6) Lots of surprises for E3 (well duh!)

Sounds good, though it does seem like their pushing Rare.

Rare > Nintendo.
Anyway, I read the interview and it was pretty much what I expected. No big XBox Live titles for this year...unless that Rare game is Live
Here's my favorite Q&A:
IGN: What games are you personally most excited about in 2003?
EF: We were just talking about Deus Ex 2: Invisible War, that looks like it's going to be really great. There's Fable later this year. One of the Rare games that we haven't announced yet I think is really going to surprise people.
:D
Overall I thought it was a very good interview. But Brute Force is starting to get on my nerves.

I wonder what the Rare game will be....

I'm guessing it might be some kind of racing game. The XBox has a good load of racing games, and it seems like Rare needs to put a "standard" on how good racing games should be on the XBox. So I'm guessing either racing or some kind of adventure game.

It SHOULD be a platformer (and area the Xbox has been severely lacking in). If it's Conkers, then I'll be bloody happy!
*Prays it isn't some Banjo game*
