Well, I still got my Rock/Austin even if this is the 3rd time, you know what they say 3rd times the charm, even though, I doubt they could top their WrestleMania X-Seven bout.

Also, I think from a technical standpoint the match-up of Benoit/Brock (which seems to be their top pick at the moment) may actually be a match of equal quality, don't know about storyline wise.

Well according to most reports, Kurt Angle suffered or should I say aggravted a prior neck injury he suffered back in 96 I believe. So it basically came back to bit him in the ass at the wrong time.

Meh, Angle is more entertaining to me than Beniot... It may be a good match, but there is no way they could build it up the was Angle Brock was built up.

This isn't summerslam, this is Wrestlemainia, I'd rather see the guys who can do it both on the mic, and in the ring.

Brock isn't exactly great on the mic either...

And they could still make this very intresting. I thought of an idea like this, but someone else thought of this particular one from some wrestling message board. I'll post a link when I remember where, but anyway...

This Smackdown, Brain Kendrick and Sean O'Haire are shown backstage. O'Haire convinces Kendrick to get revenge on Angle from last week. Hey, he's not telling him anything he doesn't already know. Anyhoo, Kendrick attacks Angle's neck because Angle cost him a job with the WWE. Steph, Heyman and everybody try to stop Kurt from wrestling Brock because of this horrible neck injury, but Kurt still goes on to fight with Team Angle in his corner. Team Angle is sent to the back, and it's Kurt vs Brock one-on-one. Brock beats him in a short match because of the neck injury to Kurt, and then Team Angle runs out with chairs in hand. They take out Brock, then help up Kurt. Heyman is also in the ring now as well, he gets on the mic and says something like "It hurts me to do this, but Kurt... You aren't the best like you say you are... Bla bla bla you screwed up bla bla bla" Then SMACK Charlie Haas nails Kurt over the head with a chair, and he and Benjamin continue to beat on Kurt with Heyman laughing like a maniac. Maybe have Kendrick and O'Haire come down to help as well. Brock tries to get up, so they turn their attention to him, keeping him on the mat. Benoit and Rhyno have seen enough so they come running out also with chairs in hand. Benjamin, Haas, heyman, O'Haire, and Kendrick clear the ring. Angle is still down because he got the worst of the beating. Brock is just getting to his feet. But... SMACK! Benoit nails him over the head with his chair. Rhyno turns around to see this and gets a smack in the face as well from Benoit. Benjamin, Haas, and Heyman get back into the ring as O'Haire and Kendrick walk out. Heyman says how Benoit is the best, and refers to the new alliance as TEAM BENOIT. Benoit grabs the mic, and is pissed off over the fact that Kurt was going to Wrestlemania, the same man that Benoit beat on several occasions, to fight Brock Lesnar, the same man who is proud to beat up a manager, for the Heavyweight Title. Benoit also makes mention that HE was the one who took out Edge at No Way Out, and that's he's sick and tired of not being recognized around here. He says he'll take out anyone, friend or foe, to get the Title and the recognition he rightuflly deserves. Steph then makes a Brock vs Benoit match for Wrestlemania.

~ That in my opinion is a great start for what they could do, considering they don't have much time to build up a new match. This would be pretty entertaining to me anyway, but whatever it's just an idea.

And the whole Angle/Brock for Mania could have been huge IMO but I think they were screwing it all up anyways. They made countless mistakes, and brock just dominated Angle/Team Angle/Everyone else in his way. It was way too lopsided, which is sad because that could have been a great match/build-up to a match if done right.

Well, I like Chris' idea, but I prefer that Brock turn heel moreso than Benoit. The problem with turning Brock heel is they have to work in an angle where they explain Angle's absence, get Brock heel and make Benoit a contender for the title at Mania.

Maybe that one rapper guy (I forgot his name) can fight Brock at WM... at least we can say it's getting built up

Well, some good and bad news I suppose, apparently Kurt Angle has decided to wrestle is schedule match at WrestleMania with Brock Lesnar for the WWE title. I think that makes him the second world champion to wrestle through WrestleMAnia with a serious ijury.

Anyhow, I think it's cool and what not, but I don't think Angle should risk injuring himself anymore.

well, how long has he been injured?

I mean, if he went this long w/o hin neck being check, what's another match gonna do to him?

Well the difference is, that his neck wasn't giving him problems before, I mean folks can go without their injuruies acting up on them then coming back.

Look at Austin, he orginally broke his neck in the summer of 97, and when he returned he seemed fine (they had to make some adjustments to his matches but still) then it started to act up again in Fall of 99 (which is when he was taken off the card for almost a year)

So even though, he has had this injury since 96 (or so I heard) it doesn't mean it was affecting him before, but it could now. Especially the type of match you need to have a for Mania.

Of course, unlike the other one you're probably talking about, Kurt won't have to be threatened by the Undertaker to go out there and job.
