Well, this is the time of the year, where e3 rumors start to fly faster than a fighter jet. So in an early attempt to capitalize on the e3 hype and make myself tons of money (I don't know how just yet), I'm making the first e3 thread.

now this is just based on speculation, a few announcements here and there and hersay, but it will be the basis of the thread.

*In best Howard Finkel voice*

Introducing first hailing from Redmond, Washingtin weighing in at a whole lot, the big, bad, big (I know I mentioned it before) Xbox.

Fable will be video, not playable.
DOOM III will be playable.
Kameo will be playable.
SW:Galaxies will be video.
Thief III will be video.
Deus Ex II: The Invisible War will be playable.
Strident, Duality, Kingdom Under Fire II: The Crusaders will all be playable. Shining Lore will be video (it's a MMORPG, and Halo 2 will have all the LIVE booths tied up).
Perfect Dark 0 will be video.
Banjo Kazooie Trace (tres) will be video.
Conker: He Came, He Saw, He Conkered will be video.
Fuzion Frenzy 2 will be playable.
Tony Hawk 5 wil be playable.
Shenmue III will be announced as an Xbox exclusive.
Panzer Dragoon Online w/ multiplayer dragon battles will be announced as an Xbox exclusive.
The Matrix will be playable.
Star Trek's new one will be playable.
DOA:Code Chronus will be playable.
Ninja Gaiden will be playable.
DOA:4 will be announced Xbox Exclusive, video only.
Rygar will be announced as coming to Xbox.
Project Gotham 2: Attack of the Cones will be playable.
N.U.D.E. will have its own booth, be announced for the US, and be playable but hosted. Too hard to "teach" N.U.D.E. from the beginning for every attendee, so the host will have a partially trained N.U.D.E.-in-progress and show off its gameplay.
An Assassin game from DOA featuring Christie will be announced. It will feature driving as well.
The Vivendi purchase will be old news by then, and we'll get our first video-only look at Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, a multi-platform mascot game (an online racer featuring Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Blinx and a guest appearance by Sonic), LOTR:TTT (literary works version) and playable Starcraft:Ghost (now Xbox Exclusive).
Warcraft: Online War (Or W:OW as it will be called) will be announced with video footage.
Diablo 3 for PC will be announced, but not for Xbox.
The Unseen will be viewable, with a new release date of Q4, 2003.
Konami will announce MGS:3 for PS2 and Xbox.
DDRX will be announced, including custom soundtrack feature.
JSRFII will be playable.
Sega GT 2003 will be online and playable.
Amped 2 will be playable.
Oddworld: Munch's Exxodus will be watchable.
B.C. will be watchable.
Tekki 2 Online will be playable, multiplayer will be shown with voice support OFFLINE as well.
VF4.1 will be announced and playable.
Soul Caliber II will be playable.
The Hulk will be playable.
Daredevil will be playable.
Loose Cannon will be watchable.
True Crime: Streets of L.A. will be playable.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon MMORPG will be announced with video footage.
Full Throttle II will be playable.
Sea Dogs II will be playable.
Robotech:LIVE wil be video.

Now that is based on the speculation of some poster at another form a few weeks back. Wll his predictions come true?

"Now coming down the aisle, he is the Undisputed, undefeated, Heavyweight Champion of the Videogame World, wearing his trademark midnight blue and black, ladies and gentlemen please welcome the PS2"

-Metal Gear Solid 3 (Konami)

Now that is based on my own speculation from a few weeks ago (One of the vacation I had).

Anyhow, based on these tentative and rumored line-up, who do you think will have the best e3 showing and why?

Gamecube because many classics like StarFox (the real StarFox game), MarioKart, Pokémon, etc. are finally going to be making their premiers on the Gamecube. Gamecube's first year out was just a warm-up and time to get settled/adjusted. This year, the Gamecube is going to perform as intended.

Animal Crossing 2 being confirmed to an offline game kind of disappointed me. We better be able to upload our town in AC2..

Haha. Uploading = Servers = $$$. You'll be able to play online before you'll have storage space.

Anyway, bad thing about this E3 is I won't be able to play any of the games they show. That sucks. The only thing I really give a damn about is the games that will be out before August.

GS: What kind of expectations did you have for Animal Crossing since it was such a different game? Also, in terms of a sequel for Animal Crossing, how do you improve on a game like that?

SM: I really didn’t know at all whether or not the game would be a hit, but I really did think that for the style of gameplay that it offers, it definitely has a place in life and it’s a game that’s suited for everyday life. I came to this conclusion watching my kids play Zelda games with their mother, specifically Majora’s Mask. They would try to help her through it and urge her on, and they would sit there and play for hours on end. My wife complained about the fact that you would have to play for such long periods of time to get anywhere in the game. So the thing I like about Animal Crossing is that it’s a style of game that if you want to play it for a long period of time you can, but at the same time, you can also play it for a few minutes per day.

There are also a lot of families that want to play videogames but they find them too difficult to play. One thing that we’re doing in terms of a sequel is bringing the connectivity features of the North American version to Japan, which didn’t have them originally. I think that expanding on that connectivity and the non-network network style of gaming is one way to expand on the game. That doesn’t mean that it’s going to an online Animal Crossing game, but it will be the Animal Crossing experience with a network style application to it. It will be very difficult.

Well in defense of his statements, he never claimed the game wouldn't be online nor did he say it was online.

And isn't he a kind man to make a game that his wife could play? I wonder if they pay for it.....

I know he didn't say it wouldn't have online capabilities for sure, it just seems like he was diminishing the chances for online plans with AC2..

He's basically saying that it could be on or offline. Cost might be a little problem, but Nintendo needs online with this to drop all skepticism about online gaming.

Sorry I came in a lil late... Um, methinks GCN has the victory for amount of games I am hyped to see and the amount of games I personally want.

buuuut

Nintendo has found a way to dissapoint me at the last two E3's and the "last" Spaceworld by leaving things out that I was pumped up to see.

I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Well according to Konami, TMNT (w00t!) will be Mutli-Console, coming out this october for the PS2, GCN, XBX, PC/Mac, and GBA although I'm scpetical about the PC/Mac annoucment.

As for GCN:here are my predictions, I'll see if I can get my brother to do PS2.

GCN Predictions:

- The GCN "Mobile Suit Gundam" game from BanDai will be playable, focus around the newest series for the franchise in the USA, "Mobile Suit ZETA Gundam" and will be of better quality than it's PS2 counterparts. (In Japan a new Gundam Series entitled Gundam SEED has just started airing in December, Zeta Gundam is form 1985 and NP has a Gundma game on their list of games coming to the states this year).

- The GCN TMNT game will be the same as the PS2/XBX Version and will be Demoed on all three consoles, as well as GBA with some sort of Nintendo-Exclusive like GBA/GCN link Capability to play an old TMNT game, while the other consoles will have ther extras that differ frommthe GCN version.

- Another New Zelda game will be announced, it will be the "mature" Zelda, and a follow-up annoucment will list another "Bonus DIsc" ofr pre-orders that will come with an updated version of Zelda: MM

- Nintendo will lak early system spec and designs for their newxt console and confoimr the name "Gamecube II" while Sony announces PS3 and Microsoft annouces Xbox2.

- The ESRB will announce a change in "Ratings Policies" and will announce some new way to allow AO (Adults Only) games ot be sold in various retail stores with other Adult Material, Nintendo will anounce at least one Adult-Oriented game form a 3rd party; microsft will follow suit, sony will denounce there catagory afyter the BMX XXX Disaster.

- The GBA SP will be given yet anohter successor, the GBA II, with a similar deisgn, and a release date of Mid-2005.

- Sega will announce another Sonic Game, and a PSO III will be announced.

- SC II will be Playable.

- A "Power Rangers" game will be annoucned for a Nintendo Console System for the first time since 2000 (4 years ago Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue bombed on the N64), as well as a GBA version of the latest incarnationof the show "Power Rangers: Ninja Storm"; Sony will also announce a game form the franchise, both will only be in Video form.

- Mario Party 5 will be announced and playable.

- Nintendo will shock the world and announce a reissue of the aging NES for a 2005 release to celebrate the systems 20th anniversary, or at the very least, some sort of "NES Games Library" with all the NES games for the GCN in limited quantites and a Platinum/Silver Shell.

- A sequel to SMS will be announced, and the first level will be Video only.

- The Limited Edition Platinum GCN's will become a regular item, no longer "limited" and Platinum-Colored controllers form the Big "N" will surface.

- A succsor to the wavebird will be announced with a Rumble Feature.

- A new "Star Trek" game will hit the GCN.

- LucasArts will annoucne a third Rouge Squadron game, or a port of the Original; maybe both.

- Nintendo will announced a new "Version" of the GCN, siilar tot he "Newstyle" NES and SNES, it will be available five motnhs fomr E3.

- Several games will be delayed, including a few games announced at E3.

- A Poke'mon Online game will be announced for the USA.

- Nintendo will announce that the Triforcer Arcade chipste and the GCN F-Zero agme as well as trhe Arcade game are ready for release and will have playable demos.

- Sony and Nintendo will drop the suit over the "Playstation" name, and in shock, Sony will have to carry all new PS2's with a note inside the insturction book that reads "Playstaion name Copyright 2003 Nintendo", shocking many, or a cash settlement will be announced.

- Nintendo will have achange fo heart and create an Emulatr for the PC, unfortunatly it won't be free, and the service will require some sort of tie-in to the GCN boradband adapter; games will be "Burnable" to a CD-R but only a CD-R and will require special Nintendo Software to work.

- EA will announce that a new Bond game is in the works and will show a storyline better than Nightfire, people will beocme skeptical and the game will appear as a sleeper hit.

- Nintendo will release a "Linux Programming Kit" much like the PS2 kit, as well as relaseing a Linux progtramming Kit, it will tie-in to Nintendo's "Project Fun" service witha C-style language and run only in the GCN.

- Final Fantasy: Cruystal Chroniclaes and FF: Tactis for the GBA will be announced for the USA.

Take note these are only some SEPCULATIONS I have, they are NOT FACTUAL except where noted, the TMNT game IS MULTI-CONSOLE and the GUNDAM GAME HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED!! Evcerything else is PURE SPECULATION includng HOW THOSE GAMES WILL BE PUBLISHED. Someof my ideas are far out, but then again, so is seeing Sonic on a Nintendo system, and I belive Nintendo has alot of secrets for this years E3 that they aren't talking about. With that said, I'd like someone to specualte for PS2 or XBox next.

Perfect Stu
