I think the topic practically speaks for itself. What is your greatest fear? You could post more than one if you'd like.

For me, I have a few..
- The uncertainty of death
- Being alone

ummm...fear, eh?

hmmm...hights a little...not much though...umm...i got no problem with public speaking, but i do get nervous.

umm...going blind would be pretty bad...but its not like scared of it or anything...so i dunno....being alone sounds kinda scary, but i dont think i would mind, as long as there is someone to talk to or something like that.

Doesn't being alone mean that there isn't anybody to talk to?

I guess two of my fears would be:

Being alone
Humiliation

The only fears that you really have are from stuff that you've experienced before, but you all probably know that.

I am deathly afraid of spiders. It's complety irrational but they make me act like a 4 year old when I see them.

Being alone.

being alone is probably my biggest fear

minor ones include: bugs that pinch and meeting new people (but that one is slipping away)

My greatest fear is being a dissapointment to others. I hate it when I think people I care about/admire are upset with me.

Failing miserably at what I want to do in life..being alone...stuff like that. But, I have confidence in what I want to do in life...and the will to get there (become a musician) but being alone...that's another story...

What is it about being alone that makes you guys fearful? I know a couple people have said being alone. And in what context are you speaking of being alone?

A. Being completley isolated from everything
B. Being isolated from human beings
C. Being alone as in single; without a mate.

I'm not sure if I'd be scared to be completley alone, I don't think I would. Now, if you're talking about relationships, I prefer being alone. Not as much pressure.

I'm scared of dying alone. Death doesn't scare me. I think that life is worthless unless I have someone to share it with. God I want my girlfriend back.

Well, i'm not scared of heights at all, or drowning....or that usuall ****. I'm scared of snakes(childhood incident). I'm scared of getting paralyzed. I couldn't stand being quadropolygic. I'm also scared of amputation. I guess I'm scared of failing. Not school. Probably more life things. I'm not used to it.

GameMaster, there are a few ways of being alone..

Like, imagine waking up one day to be the only one you can find and no one else there :errr:

Or dying alone and never to know love. That's pretty scary if you ask me

TheGame

hmm... I guess drowning... seems like a bad way to die. Also, even if I live it would suck.

I'm not really afraid of anything else. (well, anything else that I should realistically fear)

My greatest fear is probably having my legs and arms cut off then going blind, and also losing my hearing and not being able to speak. Now I am only afraid if this happens all at the same time.

That would be another one for me. I never thought about it, but I hate when it happens to me cause I don't want to piss off anyone, except maybe my sisters, but that's a different story.

What about family though? You experience love with them.

Yes, but there is a difference between familial love and the kind of love you have with another partner.

#1) The thought of falling short of God's "requirements/expectationson" on the day of reckoning, aka... Judgement Day!

Any fear I could possibly have is easily overshadowed by this one, because this is all that matters in the end, IMO. It scares me into a momentary state of utter silence to even imagine failing in this regard. I'm a motionless figure with zero expressions the moment this fear sets in. (I try not to think to deeply about it, but it's hard not to imagine those "what if" possibilities).

Besides that, another fear would be:

-- The fear of completely giving up. Life presents so many hurdles and along the way it's so easy to just give up and just quit trying. You may know deep down inside that giving up is not the path to success, so that possibility of completely walking away from "lost battles," and the fact that it's the easiest thing to do scares you a little.

I used to think about that a lot too... I haven't really thought that far over my head in years though. It used to freak me out when me and my bro used to have conversations about it.

To me, all of those things would be scary. But I was originally referring to growing old without having a husband and children to share it with.

My greatest fear is simple and to the point: Growing up unhappy.

All I really want is to live a happy life with the time I have on earth, im sure thats pretty much the same for everyone. For me, living a happy life would be finding a woman, someday getting married, then doing things we enjoy together. My greatest fear is that that will never happen.

Other minor fears include:Public Speaking...college...other...stuffs...?
