What would you do?

This is to all the wrestling fans in the GT. If you aren't a wrestling fan, please do not waste our time by expressing that opinion here as it would be both annoying and off-topic.

What would you do to improve the WWE? You can be as general or specific as you like. Many of us are very quick to criticize, but don't shwo the ways that we would like to see our favorite brand of sports entertainment perform.

So if you were Vinnie Mac... what would you do?

First I would combine the shows again like the old days... In a PPV (like Survivor series) there would be a war much like the invasion war, the two show managers would enter thier guys in, and whoever wins takes control of both shows.

How it would work is, Steph and Eric will be coming to each other's shows for weeks making personal attacks, and jumping stars to mess up their matches on the show. Then to stop the insanity Vince will make a proposal to make somebody the manager of both shows if they win a match. The thing is, if there is any interference from any star on another person's show they would automatically not be able to fight under the brand of show they come from.

Plus, that same PPV the championship belts will be unified. Brock would win at WM, and HHH would win(I know, but it's a set up). That's the main event. As far as the show line-ups go, it will start off with Austin, Rock, Booker T, Steiner, and Jericho for Raw... and as for SD it will be Angle, Benoit, Undertaker, Hogan, and Big Show.

because of inner team rivalry... Bischoff and Steph decide to trade Benoit and Undertaker for HBK and Booker T.

So now it's:

Smackdown: Angle, HBK, Booker T, Hogan, and Big Show
vs
Raw: Austin, Rock, Benoit, Undertaker, and Jericho

and main event: HHH vs. Brock.

How the PPV would go down:
Before the 5 on 5 match, 4 masked guys will go into Brock's locker room and beat the living hell out of him.. he will be a bloody mess before they are done.

Then another unnamed match will happen

Then after that match HBK and Booker T will be in the hall having a friendly conversation, and in another obvious attempt to slow down Raw, the four masked guys will beat the hell outta both of them. They will put up a decent fight, but when a fifth guy runs in they will be over powered.

Then another match will happen

Then at the next brake, the five guys will bash into Big Show's room and kick his ass. Not only that, they will pick up Big Show, drop him in the back of a truck, and take off.

Then the 5 man no-disqualification elimination tag match happens. The match is 4 on 5 because of Big show's absence. This match will last one hour, and it will be one of the greatest matches in WWE history. First of all, the first man eliminated will be HBK, weary because of his encounter backstage, he easily gets smashed on by Austin and Rock's assault.

The score: Raw:3, Smackdown: 5

Then the second man down is Jericho. In Jericho's corner Rock and Austin wanted to hog all the glory, but Jericho made his presence known by tagging himself in and going to work on Hogan. When Austin asked for a tag, and Jericho denies, both Rock and Austin jump in the ring... first Hogan is Rock bottomed, then Jericho gets a stunner. Hogan is rolled on top of Jericho and 1...2....3 he's gone!

The score: Raw3, Smackdown: 4

the first thing that happened after that event was, Rock ran in and pinned Hogan real fast. 1...2... he's kicked out! He gets a quick tag to angle and Angle starts having his way with the Rock. When the rock couldn't take anymore, he tried to tag, but right when the tag was going to happen Hogan and Booker T rush the other corner and catch them off guard. Rock get's an Angle Slam, and it's as simple as 1...2...3. Rocky is gone!

The score: Raw 3, Smackdown 3.

Right after this event Booker T gets tagged in As Taker comes in, it was like a whole new fresh match. Both were 100% energized, but Undertaker was just too much. The Raw team pretty much mocks the SD team by rushing the other corner again and Undertaker taker Booker for the last Ride. 1...2...3.

The score: Raw 3, Smackdown 2.

Then Angle comes in again, and he is faced with the Undertaker. Angle couldn't get any rhythm going whatsoever... while the Raw team was making great rotations by putting everybody in the match. Angle didn't get to touch the other corner. He was unconsience in the middle of the ring, and Benoit tries to finish him with a flying head butt. He jumps off of the rope, and hits all mat. Angle rolls over to pin him. Austin and Taker didn't give a helping hand whatsoever...

The score now: Raw 2, SD 2

Angle gets a tag and it's all Hogan now... but wait! At the stage there are 5 masked slowly walking to the Ring! They stop on the Ramp and just wait. In the ring however, Austin and Hogan are going at it... Austin Stuns Hogan once... Undertaker tries to get in to stop angle from interfering, but the ref stops him, angle breaks it up. Hogan is on his feet again. Austin takes him off the ropes and gives a second stunner!!! Then it's just like 1...2...he kicks out! In shock Austin stares as Hogan gets up and starts getting pumped up! Austin hits Hogan 3 times, and it doesn't seem to even hurt Hogan. Hogan then turns around, tosses Austin off of the ropes, and gives him the big boot. Then he gets the crowd pumped like he is about to do a leg drop. Angle swiftly goes to the back of the other corner and grabs Taker and starts fighting him. Hogan pulls a leg drop off and pins Austin. 1....2..... .... .....3!

Raw:1 SD:2

After this happens Taker gets into the Ring... and when Hogan goes to tag Angle, Angle steps back and tells him to handle the Taker. Hogan goes to work on the Taker, and it looks like it is all over... then The guys with the black masks rush the ring. They all get in and beat the Crap out of Hogan, and they slide out... Hogan is pinned.

Raw:1 SD:1

Then Angle comes in, and there is a state of confusion. Angle and Undertaker stare deep into each-other's eyes. Then Angle goes to work on Taker. He is definitely not the same angle anymore, he is fighting harder than any match he has ever had in his career. and then, the guys in black masks come back to the ring when undertaker is in the corner dazed. The all Look at Angle. one goes to the side of the ring and pulls out a sledge hammer. Angle is on his knees pleading for his life about now... and then...






...











....












...





The guy with the sledge hammer turns around and clock's Undertaker. Smackdown wins!!!!! They leave the Ring, and Angle looks confused... why would they attack all of his teammates and not him? Then a smile creeps upon his face.

The next Match is a world title match. Now, you and I know nothing can top that last match on the same night, so the crowd was pretty down. Brock Lensar puts an all out assault on HHH. HHH from beginning to end is taking blows. Lensar is setting HHH up for an F5... then the five guys run out. The ref tells them to all go backstage... and while the group backs up, he gets crushed in the back by a sledge hammer. There is a 6th man now!?!? Brock is yelling at the guys that he doesn't need their help for Smackdown to win again, and they insist on coming into the ring anyway. They lift up HHH... then one guy removes his mask. It is Kurt Angle!!! he smiles at HHH, as the whole group tuns around and beats the hell out of Brock Lensar! They wake up the ref, slide out of the ring and let HHH win.

After the match they come back in.. HHH is confused. The second and third guys to remove their masks is Team Angle! Kurt really helped HHH out this time, and HHH gives him a hug. Then there are 3 other guys... they remove their masks, it's Ric Flair, Batista, and Randy Orton!

Flair gets on the mike and says "welcome to team evolution!"

Steph comes from back stage and joins the group in celebration.... and the PPV end like that.

Then the show should work off of that :p

mines simple......... They need Competition. plain and simple.

they need decent competition like WCW once was. And untill that really happens. i dont think theres a whole lot they can do. Sure they can split the shows up. and try to Manufacture Competition. but i dont think it works. too many crossovers.

they should really recombine them. i dunno. some way or another they just need real competition.

Bah :D That doesn't seem like anything different then what WWE does now, Triple H still wins, screwjobs all around, letdown mystery men, etc. I mean, it would be pretty entertaining for that PPV for sure, but I dunno if that would make WWE any better after that. And the whole time I was curious who the mystery men were, hoping it'd be someone big, then when it was revealed to be Team Angle and Evolution, I was like "Oh, damn." But still, entertaining read nonetheless, just not my personal favourite idea.

Well, Justin's scenario runs too much like how they ended the Invasion angle. I mean the 5 on 5 elimination match, the setup (ending the rivlary) and the screwjob ending, and that didn't work too well for the WWE.

What I think they need to do is look over their roster and balance the two brands, and then seperate em pretty much completely. I mean they aren't booked together, they don't do too many PPVs together and stuff like that. They bring back the secondary belts like the IC title and US title and Vince offers an incentive to whichever brand improves the most.

I say that at BackLash, the two brands start having problems on PPV, like folks from Raw will interfere in SmackDown matches and folks from SmackDown in Raw matches, this continues until Judgement Day. Where Vince says he has enough, the two brands will no longer share the minor PPVs. So the winner of the King of the Ring tournament brand will get their choice of 4 PPVs and the other brand will get the other 4. The major four will be shared (You really can't divide WrestleMania or Summerslam and Royal Rumble is needeed), but Vince sets up some new ules, the Survivor Series PPV will be headlined by a 5-on-5 Survivor Series match between the two brands and Royal Rumble will have 2 different 20 man Royal Rumbles.

The story writers will be fired, the WWE will start fresh, no one is a heel or a face, they will have to develop their character..

Lol, as you can guess, when I made that post I was bored out of my mind.

I think if the shows merge, WWE needs a clique.

Also, I wrote that because it reminds me of the older (late 90's) WWE/WCW. Just exciting stuff happening all night. I was going to strech the story to include what happens the Raws and smackdowns leading up to the event, but I decided I just didn't have the time. :)

I was going to try to find a way to include The Rock and HBK, and even Hall and Nash in the story.... but that ain't my damn job :p

When vince hires me, then I will sit on my ass 8 hours a day writing this stuff :)

I think the WWE needs to do a much better job at creating unique characters. Look at their sstars during their heyday:

The Rock: Stlish funny heel turned stylish funny face.

Steve Austin: Obnoxious beer swilling redneck who hates EVERYONE.

Mick Foley: Cactus Jack, Mankind, and Dude Love (ok, not so much Dude Love - A twisted series of characters.

HHH (pre-injury) - Basically he ripped off Brett Hart's gimmick and made it a heel. The legitimately good heel that didn't need to cheat to win, and was "that damn good" and everyone hated him because of it.

Undertaker - Dead Man with mystical powers and an slight leaning towards Paganism.

Kane - Giant burned freak. A complete MONSTER.

Now look at the talent:

Brock Lesnar - Monster face

Batista - Monster Heel

A-Train - Monster Piece of S**T!

Big Show - See A-Train

HHH - Now a muscle bound freak/brute

Steiner - See HHH

Randy Orton - Exactly what does he do?

Do you see what I'm saying here? There is no more diversity at the top of the card. Most of them look alike, sound alike and juice alike.

Meanwhile their real talents such as Tommy Dreamer, RVD, Jericho, and even to a lesser extent Benoit and Guerrero and wasted in the Mid Card constantly.

I'll be back with some fantasy booking I developed a little while ago with a great idea to bring New Japan in league with the WWE. Trust me, its not as stupid as it sounds :D

I would get rid of the world title and have just 1 big title that is the undisputed, and that title would available for both brands and the champ could go on both shows.

I would bring back th IC belt as a midwight title for raw and create a new midweight title for smackdown.

Bring back the hardcore belt and make it available on both shows.

Get rid of the women division.

Make the lightweight belt available for both shows

that's about it for now.

bought me. Think about all the piss-ant teams that WWE has now. They are just pale shadows of the greatest super-team in
the history of professional wrestling.


THE FOUR HORSEMEN

They've already got Ric on the screen and I've caught sight of Arn
Anderson every now and then. What if they had a storyline where
these two got together and brought out a new version of the
Horsemen? I have no idea as to which four though. Maybe HHH
could be one. Perhaps bring Perry Saturn up from whatever
league he is in now ( I know he talks funny but any man who can
wear a skirt and still be intimidating is a bad man). Or maybe
lure in the rattlesnake-killer---Goldberg.

It would have to be like it was in the beginning though when it
was just the same four troublemakers and not a new member
every month. Actually Lex Luger was a Horseman in the latter
years of the group and he's wrestling in the same league that
Saturn is in ( Can't think of the name ) maybe he could come too.

Can't you just see it now: Ric gets into the ring and calls Arn up to
get in there with him.. he starts yakking about back in the day
when they were the baddest of the bad and such.... Yadda Yadda
Talking about being old men and acting all depressed and
crotchetey and such..... then he starts talking 'bout passing the
torch and so on and so on.

Then he says "So ladies and gentlemen I would like to introduce
the new leaders of the Apocalypse.........The Four Horsemen"
Then the fireworks start going off and some real hardcore metal
starts playing and these four bucks come a'walking down the aisle
like they're ready to shoot lightning out of their eyes and crap a
hurricane. The whole time Arn is in the ring with his arms crossed
and he's nodding while Ric is dancing about shouting Whoo!....
Whoo!...Whoo!.

Goldberg and Triple H in the Four Horsemen= Sucks a lot of ass

I think they've brought back enough things from the past, the Four Horsemen should stay as it is right now, a legendary faction, one that hasn't been pissed all over.

If the Four Horsemen were to be put back together, it would have to be done right and with respect the aforementioned legendary status of the group. The last incarnation wasn't exactly the best (mostly due to Steve McMichael). To me, no Four Hosemen group would be complete without Arn in an active wrestling role.

I feel bad for those who never got to see this man wrestle, especially tag team, and cut a promo. He was really one of the greatest of all time in the ring and on the mic. As a wrestler he did everything with authority. No move was ever half assed. Even his stomps looked great. He and Tully Blanchard basically invented the Blind Tag, like the Rock and Roll Express basically invented to Hot Tag. On the mic he could entrance you without EVER using a catch phrase. It was all about attitude, not scripting.

But I digress... :D

Here's my angle to create a fresh direction for the WWE while using their growing popularity and incresing tours in Asia. Thsi angle incorporates Japanese talent into the WWE believably and in a way I feel the fans would respond to, if for the only reason that it would be something completely different.

Wrestlemania - HHH defeats Booker T (probably will happen anyway) by screwjob from all members of Evolution, and then goes on tour throughout Asia, including Japan.

Next Raw: Opens with Booker T doing a promo about being screwed out off the world title, and then HHH running off to Asia to avoid the consequences. HHH comes on live via satellite from Asia to run down Booker aand taalk about how great he is, as usual, and how he's a joke and now he's showing all of Asia that he truly is THE GAME, just like he showed Booker at Wrestlemania. Booker is then jumped by Orton, and after being beaten for a short while Hilks up and runs Orton to the back.

HHH says that he'll be popping in live via Satellite next week to talk aabout how great he is, and what a chump Booker is.

Following Raw: Show opens with a match and then cuts to Pat Patterson in the back talking to Vince McMahon. He talks about HHH being scheduled for a Satellite appearance but not having heard from him. McMahon says not to worry, and that HHH is probably just a little tired from the previous night's match in Japan.

Show continues with other angles and matches.

Cut to the back - Batista stares down Booker talking about that if he was tough enough to beat down Orton, maybe he thiks he's man enough to beat him. Booker accepts, saying he'll just imagine Batista is HHH and thats all the motivation he needs.

Camera moves back to McMahon. Patterson runs into the frame breathing heavily. Vince asks him whats happening. Patterson says he just got word that something huge happened in Japan the previous night, but he doesn't know exactly what happened. He says there's a tape coming from Japan and it should be there by the end of the show. Mcmahon looks a little worried, but too much. he tells Patterson not to worry about it, and says "whats the worst that could have happened?"

Booker T vs. Batista - The main event. A long grueling match, with multiple interference on the behalf of Flair and Orton, but Booker comee out on top and runs the rest to the back. Booker gets on the mic and starts yelling aat the Titan Tron, asking where HHH is with his smart comments now?

Hit Vinnie Macs music. Vince comes out to the ring with Bischoff telling Booer that they have just recieved the tape, and have heard that it explains why HHH hasn't been available to be contacted. He then says that they'll view the tape after the show, as the crowd doesn't need to see the footage until he's seen it first, nor do they deserve to.

Booker t asks why he doesn't show the tape now, so that all the fans can see it to. Mcmahon says the fans don't deserve to see it unless he thinks they should.

*crowd starts getting on him, calling him an "a**hole" as ususal"

McMahon gets irate and says he'll sshow the taape as long it'll shut everyone up.

ROLL TAPE:

HHH just pins Tajiri by cheating unecessarily (he gets a lot of main events in Asia, for obvious reasons) and then gets on the mic and starts running down Japan and the Japanese people. The crowd is booing him and he just rips into them more.

Out comes All Japan Triple Crown Champion Keiji Mutoh (aka The Great Muta) to a MASSIVE pop (mainly "oooohs" in Japan), with full robe and wrestling gear on. he is accompanied by a small entorage including a translator.

Cut to Vince in the ring with a slightly worried look on his face. Booker is smiling.

Mutoh gets nose to nose with HHH (perfect dramatic moment and time for Japanese picture taking) and then grabs the mic. Mutoh starts screaming at him in Japanese (which sounds incredibly cool, by the way). The jist of which is Mutoh defending the honor of his people and country. He asks if HHH is The Game, why does he have to cheat to beat a man half his size. If HHH is the game, why did he run away to Asia to get away from Booker T. If HHH is the game, why won't he defend his title against a non-WWE opponent?

HHH grabs the mic back and says he is the game, and that he'll defend his title against anyone at anytime, as long as he thinks they're worthy.

Mutoh says that he's the Champion of the greatest wrestling organization in Japan, so why doesn't he prove he's the gaame and play him, or does he have to run it through his girlfriend first so she can ask her daddy?

HHH flips out and says he'll wrestle Mutoh anytime, anywhere. Mutoh says to wrestle him now, with both titles on the line, and starts motioning towards both their belts. HHH says "you're on", and jumps Mutoh, hitting him with the title bell and motions for the ref to ring the bell. Mutoh blades huge and is bleeding all over the place.

Cut to Vince, who is flipping out a little. Patterson and Brisco run out along with the rest of the agents. They are all asking what the hell is going on.

HHH is beating down Mutoh, the crowd is going nuts, in their own Japanese way, and HHH continually taunts the crowd asking if this is the best Japan has to offer. This goes on for about 5 minutes.

Then when HHH turns back from the crowd after berating them, Mutoh pops up and hits him with the Shining Wizard (Mutohs finisher, much stiffer than Helms' one) and then collapses. Both men down.

Cut to the back, wrestlers are crowding around the monitor to watch.

Now the match is back and forth, with Mutoh slowly getting the upper hand. Mutoh rib breaker and then hits his signature moonsault. Close 2 count. Mutoh goes for another shining wizard, HHH ducks and hits him with a pedigree. 2 count. HHH a little pissed, hits Mutoh with another pedigree... 1...2... kick out just before 3. HHH is flipping out now, and grabbing the ref, throwing him aroundkicking the ring ropes, etc, giving Mutoh valuable time.

Cut to the ring, Vince and the rest are obvious very worried. Cut to the back, the other wrestlers are going nuts.

HHH comes back and sets Mutoh up for a third pedigree, but Mutoh back drops out of it, and nails HHH with a Shining Wizard as he gets up, waits, and then hits HHH with another. Cover... 1...2... KICK OUT! Mutoh, exhausted rolls off and slowly gets up, waiting for HHH to get to one knee... Mutoh hits ANOTHER Shing Wizard. 1........2........3!!! You have a new WWE World Champion!.

The wrestlers in the back are dumbfounded, muttering to each other about whats going to happen now. Funaki is there going crazy, until all the other wrestlers stare at him, and he slowly leaves. The crowd is going nuts and Vince and the rst are going nuts in the ring, freaking out completely. End of show.

I'll be back with the next episode of Raw and the reasons for why I think this angle would go over huge even with non-japanese wrestling fans.

Well, do I think it would help "save" the WWE? I'm not sure. Do I think it has any chance of happening? No. But it damn sure would be entertaining. The only thing I wouldn't like about that is the fact that Booker is being portraid as the guy who NEEDS to win this match, the guy who is lower than Triple H and can only win this match to save face. If he doesn't beat Triple H at Mania, then I don't think the fans could accept him as a real main eventer for a LONG time.

Edit: And speaking of Japanese wresters, what are some fantasy matches you'd like to see with American wrestlers vs Japanese wrestlers? I'd like to see Angle vs. Nagata definitely, and I would have loved to see Bret Hart wrestle some of the AJ guys in 93-95.

BTW, I would actually prefer for Booker to lose at Mania, but book it so that Hunter barely pulls this out with interferance. Booker doesn't have to win, he just has to put Hunter on the defensive. If this is handled right this could turn into Misawa/Kawada. They booked Kawada to lose so many times in a row, but you knew with each match Kawada was coming closer to inevitably beating Misawa. When Kawada finally won, it was one of the greatest moments I've ever seen in wrestling. (I have the entire Misawa/Kawada history on tape... I just wish I spoke Japanese :D )

To put it frank, I'm one of the nicer wrestling fans on these here board so just trying to be nice, I would take back my comments before the others got here, or you would be in for a world of trouble...

Why should he take it back. He has his own opinions about what he likes or dislikes. My only issue is when people feel the need to make fun of wrestling for the sole reason that it makes them feel better to feel superior in some lame way.

While I don't agree with Shiz, I recognize that he's a casual fan, and I can see how a casual fan would not like the WCW roster in WWE. I think its more a reflection on the booking than the talents of the wrestlers, though.

Most WCW were immediately buried upon coming into the WWE. Whether this was a cause of the WWE wrestlers being nervous and inlfuencing booking or Vince stroking his own ego is yet to be seen.

In my opinion, that is one of the most retarded things I've ever heard. "They" didn't get rid of WCW because the people in it sucked first of all, that is so far off from the truth it isn't even funny. You probably thought Steve Austin sucked before he become the Rattlesnake, you probably though the Rock sucked when he was Rocky Miavia, and you probably thought Triple H sucked when he was the snobby Hunter Hearst Helmsley... A lot of the time it isn't the wrestlers who suck when you see someone on wrestling who isn't a big name, it could also be how the company is using him. If you ever saw Austin when he was in WCW, I would guess that you would think he sucked. Fast forward to 1996, and suddenly he's a huge name because of the gimmick he was allowed to use and because the company did a good job in getting him over (although in Austin's case it wasn't that hard).

Ex-WCW wrestlers in the WWE aren't ruining anything. The fact is, ex-WCW wrestlers have gone to WWF(E) for years. Chris Jericho was straight from WCW, and he became a pretty big name in the WWF (although he could have become HUGE in my opinion but they ****ed that up). Chris Benoit, from WCW, is a main eventer right now. Like I already said, Austin used to be in WCW too, and same goes for Undertaker and Triple H, although these guys were in WCW a long time ago. Either way, there aren't very many ex-WCW wrestlers that are taking up much time on WWE TV right now anyway. Booker T is becoming somewhat of a main eventer now, but the crowd loves him. Looking at the top matches for Wrestlemania this year coming up in a couple weeks, there's Angle vs Lesnar (both WWE guys from the beginning), Rock vs Austin (Both WWE guys for years), Hogan vs McMahon (Hogan wasn't even in WCW as it was dieing, but either way the crowd loves him now so he doesn't look like much of a problem) and Booker T vs Triple H, where as already mentioned Booker T is a former WCW wrestler. I'd honestly like to know where you got this "WWE sucks because the WCW wrestlers who came in suck" from, because the WCW guys who came in barely have an impact on anything in the current WWE.

Truth is, the WCW guys were made to look like **** for the longest time (this is what helped in making the Invasion a HUGE disaster/dissapointment). You can't blame the wrestlers when Vince doesn't want them to succeed.

Go easy on him, Chris. At least he shows some interest and doesn't just blindly bash all wrestling "cause its fake".

One of the main problem with wrestling is the internet and finding out it's fake. In the old days, we would watch wrestling and want to find out who's better and such. But now we have the internet, attempting to break down nearly everything like backstage happenings, who;s getting a 'push' and so forth. For example, we have already found out that Kurt Angle is going to be out for a year. That has already destroyed all anticipation I've had for the match, since I already have some sense of what's going to happen.

Next thing is all the 5 minute Tv matches that end in some kind of interference. It nothing short of frustrating to watch.
Cut down on the backstage segments. They are annoying as hell.

But the biggest prob the WWf has is they are bored with no competition and I think they are going to threaten to put themselves out of business with the garbage they run and the fact that the roster split still exists.

True, but you know wrestling is a touchy subject. :)

And I agree with everything mickeydaniels said. On the part about the loads of interference, that really ruins Raw and Smackdown for me almost every week. Interference can be good, but if it's in almost every match then it's way overused and doesn't mean anything anymore. It couldn't hurt if they had some clean victories (this goes mainly for heels of course), in the long run it could help out both the wrestler who lose and the wrestler who won anway.
