Anyone who has the April Issue of EGM, do you think the joke is the Nude Code for DOA:XBV? It sounds like it is, but EGM is being too damn obvious this year if it is. There are only 1 or 2 other things that might be the joke. 1 being the game college giving away 300,000 in scholarships. And the other being the 9.5 for Zelda. A man can have a slim chance of hope, can't he!:D

if I were them, I wouldnt fool about Zelda:WW, thats a game you just gotta respect. Chances are its the nude code for DOA:XBV.

If it's fake, EGM did a damn good job this year. Although for some reason, I can see a veeery slight change in the flesh when they show a close up pic of a womans breasts but with the red stars on them. But I'm gonna laugh so much if EGM says next month that a different thing is fake.

I don't know... I could tell it was fake the minute I looked at it.
The best April Fools gag EGM did was the one about the new Sega Genesis or whatever. That was gold.

hmm...The one I thought of when you said that was the new "Intellevision from Mattel" that was going to be so great that nothing would be able to surpass it (for a while). But then again, I didn't read too many of the old issues of EGM.:unsure:
I'm sure this won't cause as much uproar as the Sonic and Tails in ssbm. That's for sure. Some people were rambling for months. :unsure:

What are you talking about? ...I am playing with Sonic in SSBM as of right now... :) (Some people actually believed me when I said this 2 months ago....)
And the DOA:XBV code is fake... It's an obvious one too... I mean, EGM Exclusive..., that just about gives it all away.

Ok, you all have short memories.
THE BEST egm april fools joke was from 98. There was a trick for goldeneye that said that you needed to go into 007 mode (the thing that let you adjust health and whatnot) and set all of the sliders so that the game was as difficult as possible.Then you had to go into the Aztec level (which was BY FAR the hardest level in the game) and beat all of the 00 agent objectives under a certian time limit. If you could do it you would unlock playable sean connery/roger moore/timothy dalton james bond's for multiplayer (or so EGM would have you believe.) they got hate mail for 2 years for that one.
There was also that one about unlocking that secert guy in street fighter, but I don't remember the specifics.

On another note
just afew weeks ago I finally convinced my friend to go over to the XBOX side so we can have the best from both world's! Looks like I'll be going over to his house if he has that clunker there. I also got him to loo at several great Box titles like Mechassault. He dissapointed me when he bought DOAXBV just because he heard that there is a topless mode strangely coming straight from EGM the APRIL issue. Hmmmm....... how strange.

If the DOA code is real, I would then know why it got an "M" rating.

I guess the reason it is M is because in the intro. move, there is Nudity.
It's rated Mature because of:
Gambling, Mature Sexual Themes, Nudity

There was a really good EGM april fool's joke in 92. In Street Fighter II if you get to M. Bison as Ryu and played 9 matches to a draw WITHOUT either you or M.Bison hitting each other, a guy named Sheng Long would come out and fight you. That was pretty good. The year before, the first one, was good too and involved Simon Belmont as a hidden character in TMNT the Arcade Game.

Yeah, there was also a year where they misspelled electronic on the cover as the april fools joke. EGM is one of the most poorly edited publications ever though so they may have just gotten luckey for the month :D

I hope next year's joke is LESS obvious then this year's. I knew right from the start that it was fake. Nothing else in the magazine seemed to be "fake". On a slightly different subject:D, what do you think the new layout EGM is talking about will be next month? (I believe its the June issue, the one where they will show Rogue Leader III in it) I hope they don't mess it up too much. But hey, change is good. *the anticipation is BIG*
