It wasn't bad... in fact, it was pretty nice. It sucked that it was inside a dungeon, but oh well, it was good anyway.

The graphics are FAR from stunning in my opinion... but I think I can get used to it. Some of the cartoony effects weren't all that great, and the sense of relism that was in OoT and MM are completly gone. That's not a bad thing though, because I'm not really a fan of the adult temples in OoT anyway.

So far, that has to be one of the best in store demos I have ever played... which isn't saying much, but hey, the best is the best :p

i just got back from picking up my Bonus zelda CD.

saw the zelda WW demo there and started playin that. there were 4 options of where to play. one i played was in a duneon also. they prolly all were.

Anywho. Games amazing. Controls are just like N64's so easy to pick up and start playin right away. Graphics totally suck you into it. i MIGHT even like it better then the more realistic (in a sence) grahpics of the n64 ones. Even tho i dont consider TOoT's graphics that realistic anymore.

the animation really draws me into it. loved the way the lava part looked. the whole room being hot was more believeable. link sweating and all.

fighting enemys is quite fun.

Considering this is the reason i bought my gamecube.. im going to be one DAMN proud cube owner once i get this game.

the animation

Just played the Wind Waker demo, and any doubts that I may have had about the game are gone.

And the graphics really are pretty amazing. The art-direction is absolutely awe-inspiring. It's not just that the game is cel-shaded, the art-direction is what you draws you into Link's new world.

The expressions on Link's face, heat waves, draw distances as far as the eye can see, cool wind effects, and the smoke looks really cool; the individual clouds of smoke look really artistic. The amount of ART in Wind Waker's graphics is astonishing, and everything looks so damn fluid (incredible animations and imagination). Seriously, very cool art-direction, very cool...

I still would like to see Nintendo create a realistic Zelda taking advantage of the GameCube hardware a little more...:)

I played the demo yesterday, i thought it was actually really good! The graphics were amazing, they did and awsome job with the effects of cell shading. The controls were nice and really easy to pick up and play! I would have liked to see some outdoor areas, not all dungeons but it was all cool anyways. Anyways, it should be an awsome game, i cant wait to play the real thing!:D

Its a pretty old demo (E3 I think). But its suitable...

Though it may not be that old...I dunno.

meh, It doesn't matter if it's old. Not everyone gets to go to E3. So any kind of playable demo of Zelda is good in my books no matter how old it is.

I was just saying it might be a demo of an older build to the game.

I went to EB Games to buy Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island and saw the limited edition Zelda discs on the shelf. They let me have one even though I didn't have my reserve ticket with me. I wasn't even expecting them to have it this soon.

I'm going to Target tommorrow to reserve it and get the bonus discs and I bet the demo will be there so stay tuned...

I played the demo also. It was really good. But,I didn't get to play much.

I'm not getting the bonus disk. Mainly beacause I just got an N64 and Zelda:OOT and I've heard it wasn't that much different.

Yea, who would want a FREEEEEEE disc, with previews of other games. and TOoT, and MasterQuest both on it, with sharper looking graphics then the N64 version?

I always turn down free things when i already have one.

someone once offered me a free car. and i was like. ha no. i just bought a car and that free one isnt much better.

Maybe he can't afford Zelda: Wind Waker, or there are other games he'd rather spend his money on right now then Wind Waker JUST to get the free bonus disc or something...

But I dunno maybe he's just weird :p

But for the record, the previews for other games suck and I can't even tell that the graphics are sharper... but maybe that's just because I havn't played the N64 version in forever...

i can defently tell the graphics are sharper. i noticed that right away.

as for Zelda MM, he didnt say anything about MM, he just said he wasnt getting bonus disc, as far as i know you cant get the bonus disc seperate.

Picked up the Zelda bonus discs yesterday (OoT/MQ).

The differences between OoT and MQ are way to subtle, but the games are free and really add to my GameCube collection, so I'm not complaining.:)

What do you mean the diffences are subtle? If more than 10 Gohma Babies added to the dungeon in various places is subtle, than yes. If puzzles being completely different than they use to be is subtle, than yes.

I guess you were expecting for the whole dungeon layout and world layout and character design to be different, because I can not see how the changes are "subtle".

I didn't get the bonus disk beacause I didn't want to put $15.00 dollars towards zelda WW. I'm not quite sure that i'm gonna be buying Zelda:WW(Or any other game) in a while.

Plus it(Zelda:OOT Cartrige) was $9.99 and I couldn't pass that offer up.

I got my disc today...im not very far...not quite even to the second dungeon as a child yet...but dont deny it, the game has aged. The things that used to be so awsome, the scenes that were really moving, just dont do it anymore...maybe its because ive seen it several times already, or maybe its because ive grown out of such feelings...but in any case, the game is still fun. Its still the greatest game ever made.

Or maybe it's because you've seen it several times, it's aged, and you were too damn hyped up about it considering it's a 5 year old game you've played a few times already ;)

"The things that used to be so awsome, the scenes that were really moving, just dont do it anymore"

Moving scenes? In OoT? I'm sorry, what? I must have missed those... :sneaky:

I got my disk today, and still have yet to play it... The only reason I'm playing the game again is the fact that I never got the chance to beat OoT. (and when I did have the money to get a chance I didn't want to spend $50 on a N64 game)

Overall great deal for me.

Maybe that has something to do with the fact that you're a cold fish ;).

It definately did have moving scenes IMO.
