Well I was just wondering what you guys though might be your favorite nintendo rpg ever. It doesn't have to be made by nintendo cause i know they suck at that just have come out on one of there systems.
Just name your favorite one and why. Lets say for the Snes and Nes since they didn't have good ones on the n64.

Mine would have to be top of all time for the Snes was Secrete of Mana. That game with the different weapons and story and dragon and mulitplayer just seriously kicked about the most ass any game i've ever played has kicked.

for hte nes. I would have to say THE GAURDIAN LEGEND. I don't know if any of you have played it ever but if you haven't find the rom cause its awesome. its like a mix between a shooter and an rpg. you actually run around the levels but when you find the boss you turn into a ship and have to blast your way to him. It is one of hte most fun and toughest games. i've played.

So add your opinions, and if you want throw in gb games too, i just could remember any at the moment.

*sits and waits for one of the following two occourances

1) someone to say: Stonecutter, FFVI was never on a nintendo system.

OR

2) someone to say: Zelda.

FFVI was on SNES... it was just called FFIII in NA at the time, but it's real name (and I will always call it by that), is indeed FFVI.

I dunno, there's a lot of great ones. A few that definitely stick out are Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG.

doesn't anyone here like or played Secrete of Mana? Or Gaurdian legend for the Nes?

I like Secret Of Mana, but Seiken Densetsu 3 (Secret Of Mana 2, not released here) happens to be better IMO.

I didn't like the first one a lot, but SD3 was great. Never played Guardian Legend

Did nintendo have a multitap for the nes? I didn't even know they did in order to play 3 player.

secret of mana.... 3? O.o o.O
Maybe you mean Seiken Densetsu 3? technically that would be Secret Of Mana 2. Because...
Seiken Densetsu = Final Fantasy Adventure
Seiken Densetsu 2 = Secret Of Mana
Seiken Densetsu 3 = Secret Of Mana 2
Seiken Densetsu 4 = Legend Of Mana

Care to expalin what you mean by SoM3?

Guardian Legend was HARD AS HELL if I remember right. I rented it once when I was like 9 or 10. I don't think I ever owned a game for my NES....

I liked Lufia 2 a lot. Had a lot of stuff and a super sappy epic-story. Destiny of an Emperor for the NES was great too and there was a really good RPG-car racing game called Built to Win for the old NES. You basically race, but you "equip" parts and buy new ones in a sort of cryptic RPG-mode. Go to town, talk to people, bet, buy stuff, tune the car, then go back out.

I really don't have a favorite actually. May just FF VI. Because that was sweet too.
