Well.... Some sad news here. Curt Hennig passed away today. :( He was found in his hotel room this afternoon dead. There is no news yet on how he died.

:(

He was supposed to wrestle tonight for a show that Jimmy Hart was putting on. Too bad he will not make it for the show.

:(

Curt Hennig was truly an outstanding wrestler. His in ring moves were great, he was quick and agile. The Perfect Plex is one of my favourite pins, too. His character was an outstanding one. I will not forget his half-court, nothing but net basketball shots... Or the time when he threw the football from one endzone, and cought it on the other for a perfect touchdown. His character was perfect... And I guess he has now gone to the perfect place.

Please post your comments or memories of one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

Wow, this sent a shock through me. I didn't expect him to die already. But he was a pretty good person. Goodbye Curt.:(

This was shocking as hell when I first heard it. Sucks ass too. He was always one of my favourites.

R.I.P.

Hopefully he will get the push in heaven that he never received in the WWF

The WWE gave him more of a push than WCw, but that's not the point of this thread.

It's to honor one of the all-time greats, Curt Henning or Mr.Perfect was a top-notch athelete who had a great character IMO, I mean his "Perfect sports" sketches remain some of my favorites even to this day. Hopefully, he rests well in heaven.

But really what gives with all these wrestlers dying?

Did you guys see the 2002 Royal Rumble? Mr. Perfect lasted to the last three or four, and while Triple H and Austin were trying to get him out, he STILL did the PERFECT gum-swat. Amazing. He had me convinved that he geniuinely had a chance to win the thing for a second there. Wow, he was awesome.

Why are all the great wrestlers all dying so young?

Bulldog, Owen, Rick Rude, Now Perfect.

Often times it has to do with the combination of alcohol with pain killers, which many wrestlers live on just to be able to function from such a rigorous schedule. pain killers lead to addiction, and well you get the idea. I'm not saying that thats what happened with the Perfect One, but it is often the cause of early wrestler death.
