I probably have Pfeiffer. It's a (temporary) desease, I'm not sure if the English translation is the same as the Dutch one.
Anyway, you can get the desease by exchanging fluids by kissing and stuff, but also by drinking from someone else's glass.

When you have this, you get tired very fast, have a swollen throat, throat ache and a swollen and sore liver.
There are different levels of it... you don't necessarily have to be VERY tired, or have a HUGE swollen neck, it depends.
It sometimes takes half a year before you get better. But that also varies.

Last weeks, I've felt the symptons of it, talked about it with others and decided to see the doctor. He said I probably have it, but to make sure, I have to take a blood test (next week).

I still have hope that I'm not ill, cause it really SUX! :(
It will mean I get tired sooner and perhaps I can't even go to university and stuff!!

Oh yeah, it's better not to eat to fat or drink too much alcohol, cause the liver deals with those products. So... no beer or wine for me anytime soon!! :D

I do hope that I can snowboard next weekend and go to Disneyland Paris in March!

Yeah that's right, I'll (probably) finally get to snowboard! :D

So... do you know this desease and have you had it???

Here it's quite common... unfortunately :(

Oh yeah, it's also called the kissing desease.
And no, I haven't kissed anyone lately! :(

My sister had mono a couple years back. It wasn't as severe as it could get, but it was still very bad.

Get a lot of rest, and drink a lot of fluids. That is the only advice I can give you.

Never had it but know people who have.

Update

Today I received a message from Angrist. He has some good news to report:

"I just called the docter and they had the results of the bloodtest: I'm recovering from mono. In other words I just had it and I'm almost over it! Now that's good news!

He said I have these anti-bodies against it, but there's still something wrong with my liver. So... if it doesn't get better within a few months I have to take another blood test.

Actually I already feel better! Cycling has become a lot easier!"

That's good Angrist, now you won't have to miss weeks of school. ;) Hope your liver improves. :)
