"Ooh Megaton!

And in closing, we’d just like to point out that despite the connections that will be drawn, GBA SP is not the fabled, rumoured, hyped and generally fantastical ‘megaton announcement’. As V-Jump, the magazine which started the fuss (before over-zealous Western news websites leapt on it, blew it out of proportion and then attempted to trademark it), has finally unveiled, the so-called megaton announcement is little more than a Cube version of a comic popular with V-Jump’s readers. So there you go."

Stu's Take:

I bet Nintendo paid them to say that just so they wouldn't blow the big news before Nintendo was ready.

You know it's gotta be HUGE if they're doing this much to cover it up. I can't wait.

Looks like Nitendo is finally releasing a portable system that should have been released 1.5 years ago.

And so much for being "portable" when the only time to can play is being crippled under a lamp, or killing your eyes from the reflection of the sun... not to forget constantly adjusting so half of the screen is actually not 1 big reflection of light. I can use my GBA as a mirror.

EDIT: Sorry for getting pissed about the GBA, but we gotta face facts. As for Megaton... it's joke.

Should we demand a trade in policy since this should have been released originally so people wouldn't all be feeling like they've been swindled?

But did you JUST buy it or have you had it since launch? I'll be selling my gba to some sap at school and getting this new one. Can't say I like the narrowed shape. The original gba felt a lot better than gbc.

In responce to Bouncer's question, I just bought my GBA. I lost my original so I've invested twice. The loss was my fault, I shouldn't have brought it to school.

Pfft...nintendo didnt have anything to do with this. That magazine just wanted publicity. Such a walking advertisment for their show. But...more of a reading advertisment..

GM, um... Did a teacher take it away? Or did you just leave it somewhere?

Oh, and I have had mine since launch.
