Well, it seems like there will be a PokeMon game for the GCN by summer in Japan but from early translations, it doesn't seem like it will be a full fledged RPG like many had hope but closer to something like PokeMon Stadium or something.

The game will require the use of either one of the new PokeMon games either Ruby or Sapphire, but I don't know what the connection is for, I guess we just got to wait for more info.

Is Nintendo stupid? Why the hell wouldn't they make a real rpg? It's gonna be stupid if Pkmn GC ends up like a Pokemon Stadium or Pkmn Puzzle League. Don't they realize that many people would buy a real pokemon rpg on GCN? I know I would.

They need to make a 3D Pokemon games. Basically like Gold/Silver/etc....but in full 3D. They dont really need anymore Stadiums unless it is gonna be massively larger and have a much larger point to the game.

Pokemon Puzzle League was fun... :p

Pokemon Stadium was a piece of ****.
I wish they just made a good solid Pokemon RPG game for the GameCube...maybe even with Online capabilities. But nooooo..

If Nintendo made a Pokemon RPG that was over the internet, you know, one of those MMORPGs or whatever they are called, I would probably buy a GCN just for that.

Yes, that would be a dumb move on Nintendo's part. It's like lately, they're affraid to deliver vicious blows.

Lately, every damn thing they do seem way too conservative.

Anyway, let's keep things in perspective and remember that details are still quite sketchy. From what I know...

A Pokemon GameCube game (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/news/news_story.php?id=17982) has long been in development. I seriously doubt that they'd take that long with a mere spin-off, "franchise milker" type game.

It's also quite possible that they're indeed making an RPG, and a Pokemon Stadium mode will be included, making both outlooks true at the same time. Well, time will reveal all, enventually.

Well, there is some more info for you to try and speculate on:

-There are about 180 PokeMon in ruby and Sapphire you can't capture. (I'm not 100% sure if that is accurate but it does seem to be a great number of PokeMon , you can't capture) Also the majority of them seem to be from Blue/Red/Silver/Gold/Crystal/Yellow or legendary PokeMon. The fact that you caon't trade from the old one also helps.

-It seems that Kanto and Johto aren't accessible from thegame so go figure.

Now that I think about it. This could be somewhat of a good ploy by Nintendo to make people buy a GameCube just to unlock all the Pokemon. I can see it now. About a month or 2 after its release, 'Cube sales will soar for a while because kids will be begging their mothers to buy a Gamecube and the link cable so that they can get all the Pokemon.

Well, it's good to know that something Pokemon is coming for gamecube. But I hope that this isn't all. This better just be something to hold us over while they develop a real gc pokemon game.

Well, the reason Poket Monsters (;)) stays on GBA is the fact that on the Gameboy it would be easier to trade and battle with friends. Having it on a console would take away the trade element of the game. But then again, now that there is online play it shouldn't be as much of a problem.

I still don't think Nintendo will do it. There is somthing about trading with sombody you know that makes it much easier to do. I trade with family members and I trust the fact that they won't delete thier game w/o giving all the pokemon I traded to them back. If you trade online you could lose track of a pokemon forever.

My question is, would you guys rather see a Pokemon RPG FFX style, or a MMORPG (where you would no doubts have to pay an online fee and have to buy some type of memory upgrade and a Broadband only connection)... oooor, would you like to see it GBC style where you can battle and trade online, but have your own personal RPG at home?

I personally wouldnt mind having it any of the three ways.

I personally would prefer a PokeMon Stadium game online with more of the RPG elements from Ruby and Sapphire and better animations. I mean I think you should have the ability to use items you gather in the RPg like berries and stuff in the game (This way it limits the amount you could have and also gives you a way to get new items and stuff), also I think touranments would be cool and maybe they could give out rare PokeMon that way and also the inclusion of 2 on 2 battles.

Hmm a MMORPG would be so sweet. But 'just' and RPG would be nice too! As long as you can test your skills against someone else! :D

Petitions don't work. Nintendo already knows what we want. They're probably watching this very page... :sneaky:
