View Full Version : Webdesigner needed
We're looking to hire someone to design a new front page for GameTavern. If you have experience with html and would like to help please let us know. The person selected will become a full-fledged staff member with possible moderating duties in the future. While this is the most critical position, we will also be looking for console-specific news/reviews writers. Three of our current staff members have volunteered to be in charge of each of the console sections, and I know some of you have already expressed an interest in working with them. You can go ahead and let us know if you'd like to be a writer, but keep in mind we won't be making any decisions until after we actually have a site to post articles on.

I do have an interest in writing some Reviews, but I don't really have much of a background on it. So I don't think I have that much of a chance on getting something like that unless I had some materials to show(which I don't at the time). Unless you guys are kind of lenient since this site isn't massively big.(ie...IGN, Gamespot, etc.....)

Bah, I guess I could write reviews. No one else really seems to want to.They'd suck, but I honestly don't think that too many people go here for reviews, anyways. Not when there are already sites like ign, gamespot, gamepro, etc.

If we could get GT up to standards where E3 would let us in, I would gladly go and get some news and whatnot for you peoples:D Me and my friends are anyways thinking about a way to get to E3 for our Senior Trip, but we haven't done much lately.

E3 isn't open to the public.

We already knew that. Thats why I said we were thinking about A WAY TO GET into E3. There's some loopholes and other ways of getting it. We just need to find them

Dont count on E3 people. On a scale of 1 to 10, going to E3 is 1.5. Especialy if you dont live in LA, and a new writer.
Anyway, I think our real need is a website designer, and everybody here seems to just want writing. Does anybody want webdesign?

There's plenty of ways to get in. But seeing the game collections you people have, you can't afford it ;)

Yeah, you would need enough for a plane ticket and 4 nights in a hotel that will probably be booked.

The convention Center has police people around it. You would be caught in a dumpster. Explain that to your parents.
Bonjourno! I'd love to if you let me. If you want some proof, ask some of the chaps that came to my website. Unfortunately the owner shut it down, because he wasn't that great at Web Design, but I've got some really good experience with running a forum, writing reviews, desiging webpages (been doing it since Grade 4 and still going strong), plus, I have Photoshop 7. ;) The only thing I don't have is money, but that's not a loss, because it's usually all drained into game expenses-- which is probably a good thing in this case.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to do this. You wouldn't regret it. Please keep me in mind. :)
PureEvil has already put himself to work on the new layout, but perhaps he could use some help if you contact him. It's a big project for just one person. What we really need is graphics design (i.e. logos and such).
Interesting avatar, btw.

If you -- for any reason in the distant future -- need some more help at any time, I'll consider it.
A site of mine:
http://snow.prohosting.com/tkerpg/
I'm a cheap little hobo... as far as materials and webhosting go. However, let it be known that I originally designed projects with *gasps* Microsoft Paint.
Oh yeah, if you refresh any of the pages (aside from the ones with the picture that has the castle and "The King's Equal", you'll see that a new random picture will appear. *shrugs* While that random picture set-up may be near "perfect", it has nothing to do with my screen name.
*coughs* And yes, those are Suikoden characters in a not-so-Suikoden RPG. If you spare any legal mumbojumbo (which, I have soooome explainations), you might find my growing skills to be of some use.
