Fusion takes Super and kicks it in the trash. Both have great qualities, but I would rather go with Fusion. :D

I'll wait untill I've beated Fusion. So far Super Metroid was a lot creepier and longer...

True, Fusion is a bit too short, but it has much better graphics and, IMO a much better story than Super Metroid. I go for Fusion.

I would agree, Super Metroid is much creepier and the length is substantial. I still enjoyed Fusion more, though.

The problem with these sorts of things is I probably wouldn't have enjoyed Fusion as much without Super Metroid before it.

I've only played Fusion once, perhaps I should give it another go one day. I want to play it without the AI (hints), but then it's going to take me too much time...

But why, did they announce something?

Haha, no. For whatever reason 3 or 4 really old topics were listed as having had been posted in yesterday. This was one, and I replied without realizing that there was a forum bug.

Best 2D Zelda topic is old too...

Super is timeless. It changed the way platformers were designed and played.

Fusion still couldn't defeat its awesome. Which is fine it didn't need to. It was the perfect sequel.

I went with Super Metroid but if I had a choice I'd pick Castlevania /eyeroll.

I kid though...Fusion is one of the most polished, and awesome iterations of Metroid. I think Fusion edges out Super Metroid if we consider overall polish and gameplay. So it is practically a tossup for me.

Can't we just delete this thread or disable the poll? It keeps being pushed to the top of the forum because of bots. Or GameMaster.
