Well I've been playing it for a bit so far. The graphics are really blurry, but lighting is nice.
I love riding the bikes. So much fun.
I still have a problem with the music. For me that was one of the most important parts of GTA3. The music on the stations. There was nothing better than going for a cruise listening to those catchy songs. Unfortunately the music this time around is too retro for me and I can't get into most of the songs except Michael Jackson.
It's difficult (which is the way I like it). So far I preferred the good old GTA3 because it wasn't so retro, but so far this game is fun. I wanna buy property and stuff, see how that all works.
I'll give you more of my impressions as I progress through the game.
go to display in the options menu and turn of trails to get rid of blurriness....most people prefer t that way. and trust me u will get used to the music.
but still. for me there was just something diff about gta3, it think it was the setting but o well
dont worry once u buy property u'lll like it alot more, then after buying alot u wont really care lol

I hated the trails SOOOO MUCH. Thank God I finally realized how to shut them off.

From what I've heard, the music is great!! Lot's of rock classics! :D
Mr. Mister - Broken Wings
Foreigner - ??
Ehm more of those songs that you fill your CDs with!

the music is great in the game IMO, and I never even listened to music in the 80's except for some Christmas songs, the Alphabet song, and some Sesame Street songs I guess...
oh, and you HAVE to turn off 'trails'...the graphics are much cleaner and crispier when trails is turned off.
Just wait until you get to missions like 'Death Row'. After that, the game really starts to take off ;)

GTA3 and GTA VC were about the same amount of fun

GTA3 and Vice City are equal in fun, but Vice City by FAR is the better game.

I don't think "BY FAR" so far :p.........
I think it's a nice addition, but nothing spectacular compared to the original.

Man, it's about time someone makes a thread for this game!
Anyway, I had some fun with Vice City. It plays like more of a GTA3 expansion pack than anything else, but I guess there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. The tons of tiny - and major - improvements made over the last Grand Theft Auto really make this one worth playing. Still, I think that the New York setting is a little better than the Miami one.
Yeah, but wasn't GTA2 really an expansion pack of GTA1?
Maybe they'll cook up something completely new for GTA5 within that exculsivity to Sony...
What I'm a bit disappointed in is the chat stations... nothing can compete with Laslow and Fernando. Well, Fernando is bigger in this game (;)) but Chatterbox was absolutely hilarious last time..

Although the islands aren't as big as GTA3's, they are divided among 13 islands. It all fits in pretty well.

I've been playing a lot more now.
Still don't like the retro music, missions are fun, but it's still no biggy over GTA III.
I'd give it a 9.1/10

Am I the only person who hates the RC missions in this one? They were fun in the last one because you got to blow stuff up, but in this you have to race them. Why in the hell would I want to race toy cars when I could just buy the car place and race real ones!? Man, it brings back bad memories of Twisted Metal: Small Brawl. :errr::errr::errr:

yeah, i despise the RC missions in this game also, and some of the missions are more tedious than fun imo, example, PsychoKiller... horrible mission design

I haven't played very much of the game yet, but it just isn't giving me the same funness that GTA 3 did. The cut-scenes in Vice City is good and everything, but after playing GTA 3 already I just don't have the urge to play Vice very much. If I would have played Vice City first, I'd probably say I like it as much as GTA 3, but now it just doesn't compare to GTA 3 in my opinion.
