Hell yes.

http://www.nintendo.com/games/gamepage/gamepage_main.jsp?gameId=1154&showMe=1

I'll pick it up with Zelda when I go to the store, if I never do get it this Christmas for Xbox.

Any thoughts?

P.S. (I know Gekko mentioned it a while back in the Xbox forum. Not everyone saw it, I guess.. This is just proof)

Erm...

If anything the game (graphically) will be downgraded for the GameCube.

ehhh. maybe, if they just simply port it, or try thier best to port it with making a few cahnges to the code as possible. graphically it will be not as good as Xbox.

if they take thier time a bit, and redo enough of the code, its possible they can MAYBE get it better looking (but not by much).

because im sure as they went along and made it the first time, they'd of found out a few shortcuts or things they could change to help the graphics. that always happens.

but i doubt they'd redo that much. so in all likely it will not look as good as xbox.

As for me tho. i just pick it up for PC, then i get the best looking and best playing of of them all! muhahahaha :D

Actually, I strongly advise you get the PC version if you have a decent computer. It will be leaps and bounds above the best console version.

I wouldn't want to play this game without a controller, to say the least.

And the Cube can do very good lighting, but this game was developed on Xbox. Expect a port with downgraded graphics. Though, I think this is the first Xbox to Gamecube port, so who knows how well it turns out. PS2 to Gamecube results in ugliness.

exactly why you go out and buy your fav controller for your computer. :D

me, i have my PS2 controller on my PC. and i agree with you in that this is the type of game i'd prolly prefer a controller too.

i shall have a good time on it with my PC and PS2 Controller. :)

The graphics won't be 'leaps and bounds' ahead of the Xbox version, they should be quite comparable. Even if there is a 'huge' difference (which there won't be) I doubt many people have a fast enough PC to make a difference (as I believe you implied).

But I agree with gekko the main concern here is a controller. A keyboard and mouse won't work with Splinter Cell very well in my opinion. I suppose you could have a nice controller for your PC, but I haven't seen many that I like.

Yay, once again Cube gets a good game after another console...

That's because Microsoft bought it exclusive for a period of time. Be happy Cube is getting it.

he didnt exactly say graphics. ;)

And i've seen an adaptor for all 3 console controllers, PS2, GCN, and Xbox. to plug them into your PC. all of which work perfectly, rumble, digital / analog buttons.

I wasn't just talking about graphics. The frame rate on the PC version (if you have a good one) will be a hell of a lot faster on average than the console versions. And if I'm not mistaken, you can probably play with a really high resolution on a 'good' PC. So all in all, it WILL make quite a big difference (with the right PC, which is what I said in my last post)...

About the controll issues. Well, there aren't any. You can buy adaptors that allot you to plug in console controllers.

This game should've remained exclusive to Xbox.

But it's not and everyone shall know it! :p

Perhaps I'll get it for my Cube one day... a used copy or something.

I seriously think the 'Cube could do everything the XBox version of Splinter Cell could do, but since they aren't Factor 5;) it will just be downgraded like most XBox ports will most likely be in the future.:(

Nearly everything. But in order for a game to look good on Gamecube, the engine must be specifically designed for Gamecube. This game is designed for Xbox, then ported. It would cost way too much money to make it look just as good on Gamecube.
