View Full Version : Looks like one of us might be getting PSO-happy soon

Everytime I see a picture of PSO I think about how much fun it was. Now Tombor keeps talking to me about PSO. He was the one who got me addicted in the first place.
So it looks like one of us might just have an early Xmas and pick up the game, and order the BBA. Keyboard is a little pricey (by a little I mean a lot), so I might have to save that for the big day. But damn, need to get my short little HUmar going strong again.
So, who else has it? What level is your guy, and are you online?

I have it. :sneaky:
Of course I don't, how could I? :(

I have it. Have A lvl. 33 RAmar, not online yet, but the split-screen makes up for it. The Episode II levels are nice (even though it has no offline Guild Quests), you find rares more often than in the first one, and you level up with less experience. Plus the load times are shorter and there are some online missions from DC available offline. It's good...:D

Still wondering if that's a good thing, or a bad thing.

I'm still not sure what I think of it yet. Getting rares easily and leveling up quick is nice, but it is less of an accomplish compared to the DC...

Well, you now go from 1-200, instead of 1-100, break, then 100-200, so I might be able to see the reasoning. Does it stay that way, or do they get harder once you hit like 100?
And as for rares, are the EP1 rares more common, or all of them?
I want my Spread Needle back :(

I don't have this game yet, but I'm gonna ask for it for X-mas, along with the Modem adapter. Hopefully I get AOL to work on it. I asked AOL if they use a PPP (Point to Point Protocol since the Modem Adapter requires that) and they said yes, but you have to call a ceratin number to set one up. I forgot to ask if it costs anything extra to set it up. But if I get it to work and whatnot, I will be online. My SN will most likely be Jonbo298. (The usual:D)

It stays the same after 100 from what I've heard. All the rare weps are more common, but finding them is still pretty hard. The chances of seeing a Hildeblue, a Crimson Assassin or any rare monster are higher too.(You could just do the TP trick to find them though) And yes, a new Spread Needle would be very nice...

I never did get the TP trick to work. But I did see a blue rappy once, I even took some screens of it (where they are now, beats me).
Anyway, I got the game. My l33t HUmar is back in action. Even looks the same. My short little man with the turquoise hair. Remember him Tombor? :D
Just finished forest. Died once (I know, I suck). But when I came back, my stuff was no where to be found. Did the booma take it while I was gone, do you lose your stuff for good, or does it keep it in your inventory?
Level 5 right now, after beating the dragon. I gotta order the BBA tonight. Too bad I have homework, or I'd play until the end of the night.

You lose your meseta, but your wep is just unequiped, you should still have it in the inventory. There is no more losing weps... :p

Sweet. I'll just dump my money in the bank then. Man I hate the low levels. I loved being able to create TPs whereever I felt, make a quick trip back. Also having spells for when I get posioned. But now, I need to do things the hard way :(

Ah ok. :)
I don´t know why we are getting games one day later. I am currently at level 58 and my character is a humar. I have spent whole nights playing it online. I don´t know how hard it is compared to the DC version since I never played the DC version (didn´t have a credit card at the time). Here´s something you might not be aware of, rare weapons now are colored red. Do you use the same SN in PSO?

I'm aware of the red boxes. For better or worse, they are there. Haven't found any yet, due to my crappy level.
My level 20 HUmar is named gekko. Just got my BBA today. Japanese one, so no damn blister pack :) Signed up online via my PC without hassle. Now I'm good to go, except for this stupid homework.

2 questions.
1) How much was it to import the Japanese BBA?
2) Does it work on a North American cube?

1) $39.99 + shipping, which was like $16 2-day
2) Yes.
