for some reason, when I try to print something, nothing happens, the printer wont even turn on, i even pressed the power button on the damn thing, then I checked all the wires and they were all fine, but the printer still doesn't work.
Does anyone know any possible problems?
pluged into a power strip? power strip turned on?
unplug the wire where it actually connects to the printer and plug it back in?
checked the power plug itself where it plugs into the wall? perhaps try a differnt outlet?
give the printer one swift kick with your foot?
buy a new printer?
i mean the powerlight should come on whether its pluged into the PC or not. so most likly its a power issue.

My printer is connected to the same power bar that my tower, monitor and speakers are connected to, and they work fine.
what I did was:
first I unplugged the printer, then plugged it back in
then i shut off my pc, unplugged everything from the power bar and then unplugged the power bar, then i plugged everything back in, and my printer still doesnt work.
this is confusing me...

go to My Computer, click on printers, and see if its running properly
wire might of gone bad.
if theres no power light going into the printer, the printers config in control panel prolly wont reconize that its even there.
if the printer is getting power, the light should be on.

go to the printers folder in control panel, and see if you have more then one copy...if you have more then one, check which one works by selctnig it as defualt by right clicking it and selcting defualt printer or whatever, and trying to print something
see, people are missing the point. that if theres no power going to the damn thing, all the settings changes in the world arent going to matter..

I know what you mean, Null. But anyway, the cord is fine, nothing is wrong with it, yet it doesnt work...
then again how do you know nothing is wrong with it? a cord can still look good but not be.
but i dont think its the cord, i think its something in the printer
can you take your printer, go smewhere else in the house and plug it in, see if a light comes on?

That's quite funny.
Crono, just go over the owner's manual or call customer support. If worse comes to worse you can ship it to them for repairs if they allow that. It sounds like an internal problem to me.

find the installation disc for the printer, then un-install it. then unplug everything and plug it back in. then re-install it. that might work
