NiGHTS into dreams

My copy of NiGHTS just arrived today. Brand new, packaged with the 3D controller, and only $20 :cool: This is the game that I'd always play when I saw the store demos, also one I was dying to get, but Saturn was too pricey at the time :(

After playing through a couple of the dreams, all I can say is WOW! The storyline is very well done, which is surprising. The game itself it better than I remembered it. It brings tears to my eyes. *sniff*

The 3D control pad it cool. It's nice playing with a part of history. First analog controller, and first controller with analog triggers. Always gotta love Sega's innovation. Controller also works perfectly with this game. The analog stick is very smooth and allows you to do loops all day long. I wouldn't say it's too great for any modern games, but for NiGHTS, you couldn't ask for anything better.

This game is reason enough to own a Saturn. Unfourtunately, we'll never see a sequel. But even if we did, I don't think it would go over too well with today's gamers. No violence or sex, and the storyline involves 2 kids. It would get passed up by a lot of people.

Sonic Team is definetly the greatest developer ever. Sonic, NiGHTS, Samba de Amigo, and PSO :love:

Yep, I have to agree with you there. The only solution to that is: people are stupid. Unless it has violence (like GTA) or anything "cool" like that, people just seem to ignore great games. It's sad, really.

I remember that game! i played it once for like an hour.. i thought it was cool.. but i remember the controler hurt my hand :unsure:

maybe it was too big for my hand?

While ive never play NIGHTS, Its hard to argue with Sonic Team being damn good. I dont think they ever were, or ever will be as good as Nintendo, but they are second IMO. They make great games.
