Year one is officially over for our beloved Xbox (hard to believe Xbox has already been out for a year). Xbox has had its fair share of ups and downs, good and bad, surprises and disappointments; Xbox Live being the biggest surprise...:)

It is time for all you Xbox fans, including myself, to rate the top ten titles to hit the Xbox in year one (November 15th '01-'02). Please only rate titles that you have actually played, and that as of right now are on no other console...:roll:

Halo: Combat Evolved- 100%
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell- 98%
Metal Gear Solid: Substance- 94%
MechAssault- 94%
Deathrow- 93%
RalliSport Challenge- 92%
JSRF: Jet Set Radio Future- 92%
Unreal Championship- 91%

Project Gotham Racing- 89%

to me, Halo was a disappointment...

everyone was calling it the closest thing to the 2nd coming, yet I've played a few better FPS's before...and I'm not even a big fan of most FPS's...

it's still a good game. the controls are spot on, graphics are impressive, and for FPS the story is good. gameplay seems a little slow, multiplayer could be much better...

Halo was just... crap. All Microsoft's fault. Poor Bungie, sold their soul to the devil :(

It seems as though you're an 'attention whore'...and if you think a marquee title 'isn't that great' you'll say it was complete crap so people will react to you...

that's what it looks like to me...

I mean, you don't go on and on about how crappy games are that almost everyone else would call crappy too...you just pick the ones that would get you attention...

Games are over-hyped and exaggerated as being better than they are. When I get it and am not impressed, why is it so wrong to go the other way and exxagerate how bad it is? Only fair in my books.

Plus, we never have threads about Britney's Dance Beat and other ****ty titles. But we do have threads about Halo, Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto, and other games I hate.

i've played Halo only one, and the only thing that bugs me about it are the controls...but thats probably cause i didn't get used to them.

Halo has some of the best controls I've ever seen in a game...pretty much everyone that's ever played it would agree

it's hard ike hell to aim, maybe you can set up the sensitivity, but like i said, i've played it only once...so i wouldn't know...

I thought the controls were quite good... but the person's house who i played it at thought the controls sucked... oh well.

depends on who you ask.

many people who are used to playing FPS games with a keyboard/mouse setup will not like the controls for any FPS on console.

I personally foudn them much better then other console fps games. but not my prefered setup at all. i think the keyboard and mouse setup kills it.

However people who prefer console fps and usually play them on console will love the controls on it.

you always get people who love and hate everything. cant please everyone.
