Well, here's something that creeped up all of a sudden today—Blockbuster is releasing a booster disc for the Xbox version of Simon & Schuster's Outlaw Golf. The "9 Holes of X-Mas" course disc will be available at Blockbuster stores nationwide this week for the low, low price of $4.99. That's to buy, not to rent. And you don't even need an original Outlaw Golf disc to play the new holes, either. Nice of 'em.
The Outlaw Golf disc, as you'd expect from the title, contains nine new holes with a wintery theme and some rather wacky hazards. "The course is really tough compared to the ones in OG," said Mike Taramykin, CEO of Outlaw Golf developer Hypnotix, in a post on their official message board. "We want to see what people think of the design before we build a bunch more like it." So it's a test run for Outlaw Golf 2? Not quite: the 9 Holes disc is "still using the original engine...OG2 will be all new and feature better graphics, as well as animation and characters."
The 9 Holes of X-Mas disc should hit your local Blockbuster by the end of the week if it's not already there. You can't purchase it online yet, but keep an eye on Blockbuster's page for further information.
