Expecting some big announcements at E3 2003, I think that next year will be huge for the XBox...basically, I bought XBox for 2003 (and future years)
Now, what games are we looking at?
Panzer Dragoon Orta
DOAXBV (I bet it will sell systems)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Midtown Madness 3
Ninja Gaiden
Rainbow Six: Raven Shield
WWE Raw 2
Brute Force
Counter-Strike
StarCraft: Ghost
Halo 2
and then you have games that might be released in 2003:
Kameo: Elements of Power
Perfect Dark (Zero?)
Fable
B.C.
DOOM III
Deus Ex 2: Invisible War
Psychonauts
Soul Calibur 2
Star Wars: Galaxies
True Fantasy Live Online

Fable= that amazing RPG game that everyone was anticipating, right?
I thought it would come out the end of this year? It was delayed?

No... a lot of people guessed it would come out at the end of this year. Big Blue Box has never given an official release date or a project one.

It will probably come out for the X-Box 2 if they don't hurry up.

BBB is now planning for a 4th Quarter 2003 release. They have not as yet released an official date though, but any longer than that would seem to be self defeating.

WWE Raw 2 - Exclusive
Brute Force - Exclusive
Counter-Strike - Not Exclusive

A lot fo them are exclusive fingersman...
well, without presenting what ps2 has, no ones gonna know if it has any exclusives or not soo..
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is on PC too.
WWE Raw 2 might be on pc........RAW came out on PC, no word yet on Raw 2
Halo 2 is exclusive yes, but depending on what they put in Halo for PC, it might not be AS exclusive. you know they arent going to make halo exactly the same on PC as it was for xbox. it will be HUGE online, and you gotta think if they came up with any really really good idea's while making halo2 for xbox. they'd put it in for PC.......... i mean, if they're only allowed to make one Halo game for PC (if thats all MS lets them, not sure) they might as well put everything in it they can. and they'll prolly support it online for quite a while with many many upgrades.... unless of course they're allowed to make a halo 2 also for pc

Xbox looks to have a very promising lineup of games. As Fingersman said, I wonder how they compare to Ps2 and GC

I don't think that whether a game is also released on PC or not really affects a games popularity or sales for a console. Look at Morrowind. It was far inferior to its PC brother, but it still sold very well and in a genre that you wouldn't think would sell to console gamers.
The reasons for this are obvious.
XBox = $200
High End PC = $2,000 plus and thats low ball.
So I think the PC releationship is really a non-issue.
no, the question that was comeing up was are they exclusive.. not anything to do with sales or how good they'll be.
and you can get a high end pc for a LOT cheaper then that man, if you build one yourself, they're much cheaper. mine ran me under 1000. but thats beside the point.
was just stating they not xbox only

If it's a FPS or one of those "PC Type Rpg's" then for me I'll get it on Pc.
And if ur high end pc is $2000 American, it must be some kind of main frame.

Umm they have already said it's coming to the PC but it will most likely be the same as the first game and take for ever to come out (lets face it a lot of the hype has gone on the PC version of halo now as it’s taken so god damn long). Oh and I have been told that the online beta for Halo2 will stat this summer.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that, but if you mean that $2,000 dollars American is expensive for a high end PC you'd be dead wrong. If you want a true high end gaming PC that won't be hopelessly out f date in a year, you'll need to drop $2,500 - $4,000 depending on the power and maker. See www.alienware.com for examples.
Look at the example I gave. Morrowind looks and plays wonderfully on PC, but the problem is most PC owners can't play the damn thing because their PC isn't powered by a V8 Processor/Video Card combo. Also look at the sales of FFVII and GTA 3 sales on console compared to PC. The PC version is better in both cases, but the console versions both outsold their PC brothers by leaps and bounds.
Also when comparing the age demographics of PC and console gamers, you'll see that there is a great disparity.
Its for these reasons that I think parallel PC and console releases don't really hurt console sales.

if you actually buy your PC from a manufacturer instead of building it youself then yes. it will be more expensive. No body i know who has a power house of a PC would EVER of spent that much tho. i have one friend that builds pc's for a living, he would laugh at that price.
and yes. thoes games you mentioned outsold thier PC counterpart by a lot. But part of that is. thoes are more consolish type games, then ontop of that they came out months in advance on console first.
No boby here was arguing the sales points tho. whether a game sells better on PC or Console is beside the point. cuz its the same game, and if its a good game thats all that matters.
only reason i was bringing up PC was just to point out some of the games are also on it. thats it. period, not saying they were good bad, or anything like that. only that they exist.
And puppet, the halo on PC already has more then the Xbox version of halo. And the mods that come out for it will keep it alive much longer then the xbox version. and i'd be willing to bet it has many of the features Halo2 will have that are new. Have to just wait and see tho.
And yea. pretty much no one is worried about halo on PC anymore. everyone who really wants to play it already has on xbox. Which is another reason why i think they'll end up adding a bit more to it. Cant really say i'll get it unless it has a lot of new things.

2003 no doubt will be a HUGE year for the Xbox, and Xbox Live...
Capcom Vs. SNK 2 EO, DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Malice, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: NAoH, Star Wars: KOTOR, State of Emergency, Kung Fu Chaos, Midtown Madness 3, Ninja Gaiden, Raw 2, Brute Force, The Two Towers, Project BG&E, Tao Feng, The Unseen, SWAT: Global Strike Team, XIII, Halo 2, B.C., DOOM III, Dead or Alive 4/Chronus, Dino Crisis 3, Kameo: Elements of Power, Phantasy Star Online, Psychonauts, Soul Calibur 2, Duality, Strident, Tork, True Crime: Streets of L.A., True Fantasy Live Online, UFC:Tapout 2, Project Gotham Racing 2, Conker's Other Bad Fur Day, Amped 2, Banjo-Kazooie 3, Battlefield 1942, Perfect Dark Zero, Rallisport Challenge 2, Yager...
Almost all of those titles listed are exclusive to Xbox (would have listed Project Ego/Fable, but the game probably won't hit in 2003). Plus, Virtua Fighter 4.1 is heavily rumored for Xbox, and who knows what titles will be announced at E3 2k3, and other big-game show events; 2003 is gonna be a good year for the big black box...:)

Dude... come on... the amount of people that can build their own powerhouse PC number even less than can afford a pre-made one.
"Gee. I only have $1,000 and I need a new gaming PC. Well lets go over to Compuserve to get the parts and I'll go whip out my trusty sodering iron. WOO HOO!!! HIGH END PC HERE I COME!!!"
Yeah... right.
And if you mean to say that you were not implying anything by making sure to comment that they were coming out on PC beyond just the fact that they are, I ain't buying it and I don't think anyone else did either.

sodering iron???
1, i wont even touch more on that issue, short answer, you just buy parts and plug em in. but we'll just say you never done it and dont know much about it.
2. When did i ever say a lot of people go out and do it? when did i say building it was so popular? you seem to read WAY WAY WAYYYYY too much into things and try to make an argument out of it. i simply said, you dont need to pay over 2grand for a high end PC, whether you, or the mass majority of the people know that, i couldnt give a damn about.
2. bro, read up on the topic. Bond made a list about what games were exclusive, and ones that wernt, and HE PUT DOWN ONES THAT WERE COMEING OUT ON PC TOO. I made a couple corrections... PERIOD. Since your the only one trying to make this argument, im going to say your the only one not "buying" it, so hell, im going to give it to you for free, No need to buy it. its not that hard to see clearly where i was comeing from.
And you know. if i wanted to make a point about games being on PC over Xbox. i do believe i'd pick a few better then thoes.
i mean come on, RAW 2? and a star wars game?

Sorry about that Null, I was in a mood when I wrote that. I apologize for going over the line but I still don't agree with you. :D
And if I need to look into building my own PC, you need to look into the new generation of Star Wars games coming out. Jedi Outcast has gotten good reviews and KOTOR and Galaxies look to be excellent games.
BTW, where could I get some info on building my own PC? I could really use a new one for games but I can't afford to drop a bunch of money.
As for Raw 2, well, I agree. Its an average wrestling title, nothting more but also nothing less. I'm waiting for Fire Pro to finally come around...
yes, but i try not to get myself going about star wars games anymore.... they always look good and end up being crap.
i didnt like rogue leader at all. then again thats prolly cuz it was a flight game and im not all into thoes.
if this one ends up being good i'll give it a go.
As for building yoru own PC, you'd have to look into the computer forum for that.
me personally i just figured it all out on my own. once you start changing a few things every now and then, you star to understand it more. after a while i pretty much changed everything at least once on my old pc, so the next one i said hell, i can just put it all together myself now.
part of the many reasons its cheaper. is that when you buy a new PC, it comes with everything. if you have an existing pc, chances are you dont need everything. Hard drives, keyboard mouse, monitor somtimes RAM can be taken out of the old one and put in the new one, greatly reducing the cost.
im not sure where to really find info on it tho. never bothered to look

My problem is I have a chip set and I can't get the damn thing dis-abled. Not only that, but I have PCI slots, not AGP...
That means my 64 mb ATI Radeon is sitting over here gathering dust.
most expensive is the processor really.... new motherboard could get you all the plugs on it you would need. PCI, and the AGP for the gfx card, other stuff for 100 to 150 ... i do believe they make higher end GFX cards for PCI slots, not sure how well they work or even if they work with yours, dunno what you have really. But im sure there are sites that explain everything you'd need to know
