It says that its a single player game on ign and i almost never even gave it a thought. I pretty much assumed that it was multiplayer and just realized that its possible that it isn't.
So is that just a mistake on ign or is metroid actually only 1 player?

No. It has never been.
Backing up GameKing, it's single-player mode. Metroid only works single player anyways; multi-player would ruin it for me. It's not Halo.

yea, i hate when game companies add more features. i mean it ruins the games.
like i loved mario sunshine, but if they gave an option to play as luigi or do a co op mode with mario and luigi...... Game woulda been total crap.

how can adding something extra to a game make it worse? Something thats not incorperated into the game but an extra... you guys are weird and just upset that metroid has no multiplayer so you act as if you wouldnt want it anyway :p
hehe
exactly.
adding something. as long as the original part of the game in no way suffers. Can never be a bad thing.

Its not a bad thing, just un needed. And I personaly wouldnt want any form of multiplayer, in say...Zelda.

no?
so if they added a online multiplayer on to zelda where differnt characters could walk around the hyrule world.
or a coop mode where you can play as a differnt character say shiek? and explore a castle or dungeon with your friend?
yea, your right, if they added stuff like that it would suck.
No one said it was needed, But saying it would be a bad thing is completely differnt

I agree with Null...
But maybe that's because co-op games are my favorite types of games... even crappy ones :p
It all started with Double Dragon for me.
I can see adding Multi-player hurting the score of Metroid Prime for visuals, and if it doesn't turn out good it could possibly hurt the score. But would it hurt the game itself? Doubtful.
I dunno, but a Co-op Metroid doesn't sound bad at all.

Co-op all started for me with Streets of Rage 2. Those were the days. As well as Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and 3. And Contra.

I guess co-op is too complex to develop on the modern consoles.
BTW, who were you most of the time? Sonic or Tails?

i love co-op and it all started for me with Streets of rage... man i love that game :).... and im gonna have to agree with null... adding something to a game so that it in no way alters the original game can not be bad... eaven if the add-on sucks total ass... it still couldnt hurt the game..

Co-op games are great, I fell in love with them since contra on Nes, double dragons, battle toads, Jakal, Kabow, Roller Games ( these where all on nes)...there's nothing that feels better than you and a buddy playing a game together. :D
*sigh* The good old days
*sniff*

lol... there are some good ones.
Perfect Dark and Timesplitters 2 are great Co-op games... Gauntlet legends is fun (but I like having 4 players the best). Maybe Phantasy star is aight, but it isn't basic enough. Halo is nice too.
I love Co-op games either way though... a lot more than single player, or multi player trying to kill each-other. Maybe because I'm an athlete I'm into that team work type of thing.

Sonic until I learned how valuable tails was.... then I became a tails that just told Sonic what to do all of the time (nobody else was good at flying)
When I got Super Sonic, I went back to beaing sonic again.
