Wow!
Have you seen the Los angeles Lackers. Last season they started great, this season their horrible. I think theri like 2-4 or something.
Man, Even Portland, Boston ect beat them. Like yesterday, Boston beat them in ot, which in the first half they had a 15 point lead. Though LA played good after but were unlucky to win.
I think that is one shock in the NBA.
What team do you think is a shock, or upset?

I'm not shocked... they don't have Shaq, and Kobe just isn't good enough to carry the team by himself.

Washington beat them tonight, Go STACKHOUSE!!
And once they get Shaq back, they will dominate.

Yes that could happen, but I think La has pretty good players, and they have no excuse, that just because they don't have shaq, doesn't mean, their's no kobe or that the other players are bad.
I think they should be going better, even if Shaq's not their.
Speaking of basketball (which I know nothing about). Should I accept this trade in fantasy basketball or not:
Clippers
Players
O'Neal, Shaquille
Van Horn, Keith (SF-Phi)
Buckers
Players
Garnett, Kevin (SF-Min)
Mutombo, Dikembe (C-NJ)
Remeber Shaq is injured for still a few weeks I believe, I'm not sure if I should accept the trade or not though. Garnett has been playing quite well. (I'm the Buckers by the way)

Bond, that's a hard one... Mutumbo is one of the best defensive centers in the leauge, and Garnett is at worst in the top 20 players.
But, Shaq is the #1 center/player in the leauge, and Van Horn is an above average role player.
The injury is a gamble, but once Shaq is back he will be the best player on your team no matter who is on your team. It's up to you.

I don't...
I mean, Shaq takes pressure off of everybody on the team, and Kobe does too. Teams that play them's game plan is to stop Kobe and Shaq.... which makes it easy for Fisher Horry and Fox to be great because there is no pressure. Not only that, Kobe and Shaq take pressure off of each-other!
So with one gone, it isn't hard to beat the lakers. The lakers are no better than any other team in the NBA w/o Shaq. Without both, they might as well play bad on purpose for a lottery draft pick.

I know... the trade is so even it's not even funny. I think I'm going to accept the trade though, by any chance do you know when Shaq will be back?

Has our fantasy league started up?

Bond, they said around 10-15 games into the season he will be back... so maybe next saturday (in time to play the Rockets) or as late as 2 weeks.
He is ready to play btw, they are just giving him a little extra time off just to make 100% sure he is healed.
(all this drama over an injury to his big toe)

Also, Shaq is working out. Because of the surgery and stuff, he hasn't been able to do many leg workouts with weights, or any impact cardio training (running, jogging).

it just shows you how big of a factor (no pun intended) a guy like Shaquille O'Neal is to a team...
he should win MVP every year...he's the best player in the league easily

Lakers Played Rockets yesterday... Rockets won by one point after Kobe missed a game winning Lay-up :D
Yao Ming's stats:
20 points
9-9 from the field (100% shooting)
2-2 from the free throw line (100%)
7 rebounds
I wonder if that would have happend if Shaq was there ;)

No chance in hell... :D
And as for my 76'ers...suprisingly we are 7-3 and tied with the Nets for 1st in the Atlantic...We are 6-0 at home too...pretty good start, I'll take it, and we don't even have Coleman back.

Ya and 1-3 outside.
Anyway, it's good to have Shaq back for Chicago Game tonight, i think.
But anyway, Maybe it's time to show that lackers will be better than this with Shaq around.
And by the way, ever since the starting of the season, has anyone heard a lot of KOBE?
So, from a 3-9 start, in 12 games i think in 20 games, they'll be
7-13.
My pick.
And when is Dallas ever gonna lose, or when will Memphis ever win?

Now 4-9 (lackers)
Now 4-9 (BULLS)

Is this guy just illiterate, or does he think he's cool by mis-spelling their team name?

Actually i don't see my mistake, can you point that out.
Anyway, dallas lost their first game after going 14-0. They lost 110-98 to Indiana, which are 12-2.
They almost tied the record, for most wins in the beginning of the season, who was set by Washinton, a while back, going 15-0
New Jersey lost again, 10-4 now 10-6.
Lackers, are going a bit better, but guys, have you ever said that Phil jackson, was a bad coach, when Shaq was hurt, this season. Does anyone hate him, Phil.
