Played about 1 hour of it. I love the graphics, the story has got me hooked and the way it is told is amazing!

The best thing about this game is how convincing the voice acting is. Probably the best I've ever heard on a console.

Pc has some good ones like Diablo and Starcraft! Blizzard are real good wif that sorta stuff.

Back to the topic..........I am really getting into this game. Is the story straightforward or am I going to have to read it up on gamefaqs.com?

Also are there multiple endings?

So far I'm hooked. BTW I got the game 1 day early (thanks to EB friends mwahaha)

I think I've heard that there are 3 different endings or stories... if you beat all 3 of them with the same save file, you'll be rewarded. :sneaky:

I saw the game in stores, but I'm not going to get it. 2 much games, not enough time. TS2 will be mine.

ED wasn't that great to me..I thought it was pretty boring, and I didnt really like the gameplay style..

Yeah, but you gotta use all 3 colors... and it might have been use all 3 colors and then beat it again (total of 4 times) but I dunno I might be wrong...

And it wasn't much of a reward...

And I thought the game was waaaaaay overhyped...

Still good but not nearly as good as the reviews made it out to be...

But that's just me and I've said that before...

:D

just beat it 3 times, each time picking a different colour, you'll get the different ending on the third time through. I thought the game was ok, i like how the story was presented, but it was WAY overhyped by reviewers, i was expecting something god like, but it turned out to be just a ok game. voice acting was superb though

Played 3 hours of it so far. I love it.

The story is told so well, I haven't read to much about the game, so I can't compare it with the hype.

But at this moment, I'm liking it ALOT more than RE , and more than SH2.

More as it progresses

I loved the insanity metre. It was really innovative. I rented this game with my friends and we played it into the dark hours of the night. Well, it was light out at one point, too. =P

I actually screamed when I saw the BSOD. Haha....!

Played 7 or 8 hours. This game is so good. I have nothing more to add from what I said before. Definitely worthy of a purchase. I think a 9.6 from IGN is pretty accurate IMO.

ED had a fantastic game engine and all, but it was just too short.

I've racked up around 3 hours play time so far. One word: FU**ING AWESOME!

Insanity effects aren't overused at all in my opinion. One that got me really good was when I was that Persian guy, I went to climb down a ladder, and I didn't even realise that my character had shrunk to like 1/5th of his size! And then there was that bathroom scene. I mean, I was expecting something in RE, but this one scared me good! And the banging on the door or whatever it is that I haven't figured out yet back in the mansion with Alex, it's freaking me out...

RE scared only by 'jumpiness'. This game is just overall haunting. Excellent stuff!

I dont think you will ever figure out the door knocking...but yea that bathtub scene was golden...that and this other insanity effect I talked about a long time ago, which most people never even saw...I guess you have to be in the right room at the right time to see it, and I was, very creppy, I wont say it though, due to the spoiler it is...

Well it's too late, and I already had done that part :)

It was funny me and my brother were playing it. Then we entered the bathroom and my brother goes "There's always a dead body in th arghhhhhh". As he was saying it he let off this girly scream and I couldn't stop laughing. Scared me though.

I'm kinda stuck using the priest. I've got page 2 and 3 of the diary, but not page one. And that statue says "When thy friend is sacraficed, the doors will open" which leads me to believe my friend at the bell tower will die by those other d00ds.

ED tried to get me with the 'volume turning down' trick this morning. Didn't trick me for a second (well, until I actually read 'volume', then immediate thought 'insanity effect'), 'cos it's rigged up thru my stereo. But that statue just in the main room on floor 2. I never realised that it only was moving 'cos Alex wasn't completely sane. And the library was just freaky when I was going to get the heart, 'cos I couldn't be bothered restoring sanity. And the piano room... does that even happen when your sanity's full?

One minor thing I noticed, is when I was Max, if I got kinda insane, he'd get (or seem to get) different responses from his servants. Like the cook putting what appears to be a human organ into the pot or something... 'cos he's expecting to see messed up stuff kinda thing.

I've been playing away... I don't think I'm too far from the end now. I'm some black fire fighter dude, and I've got some high powered guns now. He's pretty good with his axe too, but it took a bit of figuring out, not being able to decapitate in one hit. But those grim reaper things killed me, so I turned the game off. I haven't found the tome of darkness for him yet, but it probably wouldn't help me too much anyway, but a shield or two wouldn't go astray, and I guess I could just shoot out of a forcefield at them. It's kinda like an RPG that way, which I don't mind.
