BMX XXX (shocking)

"The PlayStation 2 version of Acclaim's controversial mature-rated game will have the nudity cut out."

"Following rumors that Sony wouldn't approve BMX XXX as is, Acclaim has announced that the PlayStation 2 version of the game will ship without the topless nudity present in the Xbox and GameCube versions. As what Acclaim calls the first action sports game designed for over-17 gamers, BMX XXX has attracted some controversy for its content, and several major retailers announced last month that they won't stock the game.
BMX XXX is scheduled to ship on November 15 for the PS2 and sometime in mid-November for the Xbox and GameCube. For more details, check out our previous coverage of the PS2 game.

Funny... GCN/Xbox gets the true dirty version and Ps2 gets the clean one... I dunno who this is gonna help more :D

But meh doesn't matter to me... cuz before Sony didn't censor stuff like bad language and gore and such... but I guess nudity is where they draw the line...

Although I'd think violence and gore and such would be worse than boobies :unsure:

Nintendo representatives have said that they will not ask for any cuts to the GameCube version of the game. I don't know about the Xbox version, but I can't imagine that Microsoft would demand censoprship even if they wanted it. It would undercut the Xbox's mature image. Besides, how bad would it look if the Xbox got a censored version while the GameCube didn't?

Not that it matters to me anyway. I wouldn't get this game even if I had a GameCube.

My thoughts exactly...if this happened to Gamcube, the X-Box (and PS2 for that matter) fanboys would have a field day...Im pretty shocked about this actually...this is basically the exact oppisite of what you would expect to happen...although it dosent affect me, im not getting this game on any system, but that can only do one thing: hurt the PS2's game sales and boost the X-Box and Gamecube's.

I doubt Nintendo or MS will make them. But with few stores actually selling the game, Acclaim may have to release the censored one on cube and xbox to even sell it at Best Buy, who has said they would sell the PS2 version.

Australian censors refused to rate the game, so we won't even get it over here yet. GTA3 was refused rating, but then the ability to pick up hookers to get laid/restore health was removed, then GTA3 was released for us.

Then I had some other game that was deleted that was at 10,000+...

And a couple other games with maybe a couple thousand...

But watching the car bounce as both character models sit perfectly still not even touching each other in the car? Get that outta there!

I think this is great news. The only reason sony would do that is because they lost major retailers like wal-mart, k-mart, kaybee toys, etc when acclaim was doing the nudity. but everyone still wants to buy it, and i bet they will still buy it, (probably more for xbox than gc, but i'll get it for the gc)

Yes, they have DVD quality video of strippers from Scores Gentlemen's Club in New York (popular one. Jenna Jameson and Nikki Tyler perform there). Instead of unlocking stupid BMX video, you unlock video of strippers, who take more and more off as you progress. And they do get naked.
