I hate having no money.
Im tied up between getting *takes big breath* Star fox adventures, resident evil, eternal darkness, timesplitters 2, mario sunshine or turok: evolution. Unfortunately I only have the mulah for one of these.
Im looking for something that is gonna keep me occupied for the holidays (two three months). Any ideas? (before you say "depends on which genre you prefer", I like all of them equaly)

If you want a single player experience...
1. Eternal Darkness- I still enjoy that game a lot.
2. Mario Sunshine is a good pick. I still haven't gotten all the shines.
If you want to play with friends...
Timesplitters 2- Single player is pretty entertaining, but the multiplayer is totally awesome.

SFA - dunno...
RE - you can beat it if you rent it, its only 5 - 10 hours long when you don't know what you're doing. but if you're an RE fan, then buy it.
ED - I didn't like this game...It's kinda boring, not what I expected.
TS2 - TS2? ew. The story mode is crap and the multiplayer gets boring too. I would only consider buying it if you'll have friends over.
SMS - This game is pretty fun. Probably the one that I would mosr recommend out of this list.
Turok - dunno bout this either...
I would go for SMS, or maybe even SFA...

For the love of god wait until metroid Prime or Resident Evil 0 comes out i tell you wait!! or get RE i've beaten it 8 times and it still hasn't got old this is the resident evil I've played the least though because I haven't had much time DAMN school.

SFA: No
RE: Too short...so no!
ED: Yes, if you're a fan of the genre, then definetly!
TS2: Replay value 10! Must I say more?
SMS: This is my personal pick. It's my favorite one too. Yes!
Turok: ... HELL NO!
So it's between TS2 and SMS. I guess that's your choice unless you want to buy both of them which I would do.

Plastic, Ill will probbably be able to get them when they come out because it will be about christmas time (I thinks so, anyone know the oz release date?)
Im suprised about the responce for SFA. I thought it would be good. So, now im tied between SMS and TS2, maybe ED. Im driving down to video games heaven today, so il tell you waht I got.

SFA - Rent it. I wasn't too fond of this game, but it was an alright rental.
RE - Definantly rent it.
ED - I'd say rent it. In a five day rental, I beat it 2 times.
TS2 - Single player story mode is pretty awful (and it makes no sense), but multiplayer (plus the map builder) kicks ass. I made this awesome futuristic replica of the Facility and had Deathmatch games with my friends with Rocket Launchers and other ****, PURE fun.
SMS - Probably the best GameCube game. I still haven't gotten all the shines yet either.
Turok - This game just plain sucks.

I would say to pick up SMS(Cause it's the best and has lots of replay value),Rent SFA(I'm still buying it. But I heard it doesn't take long to beat.)
TS2:Only if you have friends to play with.
Turok:Don't buy this game it's trash.
ED:Rent or buy. It's a very inovate game that deserves to at least be rented(To bad I can't rent it).

I would say its between SFA, SMS, or TS2.
Im in the middle of SFA, and Im enjoying it. Its one of the prettiest games on the Cube, and the gameplay is pretty good to boot. It tends to be on the easier side when it comes to gameplay, becuase if you ever dont know what to do(not very often), you can just ask slippy and he will be there to make you look stupid and basically tell you almost ecactly what to do, or give you hints. SMS is great, dissapointing in some ways, but still a very fun game overall...TS2 I really dont know, im sure its pretty good as well, and it probably has the most replay value of the 3, with SFA having the least.
On a side note, the grass and fur effects in SFA are out of this world, especially the grass ones...you can actually see every blade of grass sway in the wind...its truly a site to see...not the mention the facial expressions, especially Fox's...best ive ever seen...it really inhances the game, IMO.

Turok is horrid
I hear that SFA gets tedious
TS2's single player is wayyy too short
I'd go with Super Mario Sunshine

Not really...
I was like 3+ hours into the game before I actually stopped and said "Wait a minute, is the grass moving? :hmm: .... I don't think it is.... wait maybe it is............ yeah.... yeah it is... neat *continues on with game*"

even though I can't see any of those games keeping you busy, I say get TS2.
I don't care what most peeps are saying here, the single player is fun. There are so many challenges that I can't even imagine beating the game 100% in less than 100 hours.
Then there is multi play, which is great imo. If you have ANY plans to bring friends over to play, this is your #1 choice... w/o friends, this is still me #1 choice.
If you are talking 2 months of replay value, I would seriously suggest you not get anything else.
It's all up to you though.

G-Spot vs DJ José - Acces (trance)
Anyway, good choice.

Man, I learnt my lesson from buying Turok. I'm up to like chapter 4. I've had the game for over a month. Probably racked up around 5 hours playing time. I bought Mario about a week after Turok, so guess which game I'm playing more often, although, I've only got 38 shines, and I'm playing Resident Evil again at the moment as Jill on easy. I really should stick to one game. Stops me getting plots confused... it's so easy to do!

Hehe I have the same problem. When we bought RE, we got stuck after half an hour (I later discovered you had to check every side of an item...). So I didn't play it until after we got SMS.
But I really don't have much time to play any game... :(

I give Mario Sunshine 2 http://www.gametavern.net/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif http://www.gametavern.net/forums/images/icons/icon14.gifup. I still haven't beat it and yet I'm still having fun...what an odd combination.

SFA- I've not played it, but I say no
ED- I love this game, but it'll probably be in the 20-30$ range fairly soon
SMA- Great game, good replay value, and you probably shouldn't be without this game.
RE- ED is better
Turok- No, no, and double no.
Timespiltters- This might be your best bet, but I wouldn't want to play this with the cube controller.
I'd say Timespliters 2, or sms.
Have you considered metroid prime? I'd put that ahead of all of those.
Lord Germano

Metroid prime is pre-booked, and will be picked up on the day of release.
BTW, does any one know when the freeloader is being released? Then I can get my games cheaper and earlier
