I had a friend who had the Sega channel. It was a service you signed up for. I don't know exactly how it worked though. You got this special cartridge and then you turned your TV to a certain channel and turned on the Sega and you got a list of games that you could play. I think every month the list varied. It was pretty cool though. I don't know how much it cost but I thought it was a good idea. A lot easier then going out to rent a few games for a week. Did anyone here have the service? I think the three titans of todays video games should adopt a service like this. That way, places like Blockbuster and Hollywood Video don't get a cent! :D ;)

Yea, we've had topics on this before, and yes, I had the sega channel for a good while. It was basically the greatest thing ever. So many good sega games...and it changed every month...I think it was like $12.95 , really not a bad price at all if you ask me...they had all the cool sega games, you could save with it, and everything. The only negative thing I can remember about it was that there was a maybe 1 minute loading time at the start of each game...anyways, a cable wire plugged into the unit, which plugged into your genesis just like a game.
