OH MY GOD this game is totally what I didn't think it would be.... I didn't know it was a futuristic sports game of the Speedball or Hyperblade ilk until a couple weeks ago when IGN scored it a 9.3. I always thought it was some lousy State of Emergency clone with Rappers. Not an EXCELLENT sports game. With lots of beating of people. And incessant swearing.

The graphics are slick and the gameplay is incredibly fast: AI is remarkably smart too. I spent a match just running around pummeling while my computer assisted cohorts scored and defended the goal. Gameplay is sort of like Hockey I guess: matches are enclosed in arenas and goals on each side of the arena are guarded by on of four guys. The graphics are slick and the teams pretty clever and varied. The game supports System link across 8 systems and you can play it online via the Halo trick (Gamespy software and the what not). Its a real surprise... I didn't think it be as good as it is so far. I highly recommend it even though its already next to impossible to find the dern thing: Allocation was supposedly just an average of 2-4 copies to ever store and apparently only Gamestop and EB are getting it. If you can find it to rent at least give it a whirl. I don't see anybody being dissapointed by it. No, not even Brian....

I only know that a friend really loves it, he's addicted to it.
