I think IGN gave it like an 8.4... that's not too bad, although I havn't played it myself...
I own Summoner though... it got like 7's and 8's, although most people seem to think it's crap, but I think it's pretty good... worth the 17 bucks I payed :p

Cool. I had the original Summoner for PC. It was ok, but I think the battle system totally sucked ***. The game was also boring. Interested to see how Summoner 2 fairs.

The GameCube version of Summoner 2 will have:
Improved texture resolution and color in all environments
Enhanced lighting in all environments
Enhanced character textures for all lead party characters, Iari, Neru, Morbazan, Sangaril, Krobelus
Improved animations for all lead party characters
Higher animation sampling rate (animations look smoother because they play faster)
S3TC Texture Compression (allows you to compress and decompress higher quality textures in smaller memory footprint)
Higher resolution audio FX and Soundtracks (takes advantage of 16MBs audio RAM on GCN)
Hardware supported geometry compression (faster load times)

I have heard about Summoner 2 coming to 'Cube for a little bit. I will probably just shrug it off. Not high on my list for rentals.

summoner didn't really have a decent story line, yeah you could play the game, but how long before something exciting happened?

Exactly my thoughts. I played and played and played, but it didn't really feel as if anything had happened. You just did the same thing over and over. I'm sure that 2 will be different though...hopefully.
