With the popularity of the PlayStation 2 RPG Suikoden III already reaching impressive levels, Xbox owners have been clamoring to find out if they too will have an opportunity to play the award-winning masterpiece. After a few phone calls, and confirmation from various retailers, the answer tentatively rests at "yes".

Though the information is not available via their websites, major videogame retailers, including Gamestop, list an Xbox version of the game with a March 2003 date in their computer systems. Phone calls to various chains around the San Francisco area have confirmed this appearance in multiple stores.

Officially Konami hasn't released a statement regarding an Xbox version of the game, and there are no materials other than the listing in the aforementioned computer systems confirming its existence. However, retailers enter this kind of information into their databases whenever they are given a SKU number for a game, meaning the game is almost certainly a reality.

Well that's very good news for Xbox fans, SUikoden III got a 9.4 from IGN. The game itself just sounds amazing. But by the time I get an Xbox, I will already have this game on PS2..meh.

Well at least I'm happy to get it, as I don't have a PS2 and have no plans on getting one anymore. The XBox neweds a few first rate Easter RPG's. Plus, if Konami takes to time to add some special effects for the XBox version, it may be an even better buy.
