Capcom has released first details of their PlayStation 2 online action game Network Biohazard (tentative). The game takes place in the Racoon City at the time of Biohazard 1 & 2, you play as one of the eight citizens of the city, trying to escape from hazards.

The eight characters are:

Kevin - a member of the Raccoon Police Department (RPD), who is brave.
George - a divorced surgeon with a hand in politics
Yoko - a Japanese girl with plenty of secrets
Mark - a security company officer, with bad past memories in the Vietnam War
Cindy - a bar waitress with cheery spirit
David - a plumber who have little words to say
Jim - a Raccon City subway system worker, he is energetic and likes to talk a lot. He is an expert in solving puzzles
Alyssa - a newspaper journalist, she often gets into quarrels with others and she is willing to accept some dangers for her job

Each character has his / her own unique abilities, all characters are able to operate pistol, and some can use other kinds of weapon, such as pipes.

Network Biohazard supports up to 4 players simultaneously online, the four remaining characters will be controlled by the computer, and you will encounter them somewhere in the adventure. In this game you and the other players are not required to form a party and work together, there are even occasions where the characters must split up and group back together. There are also dramatic elements in the game for different situations and decisions made by the players.

I wonder if they have individual little stories that unfold as you play?

Then again, this is an online game.

Plus, David looks a lot like Carlos from RE3 :hmm:

AND... Should this be taking place during RE2 and RE3?

How could it be RE1? I don't think the T-Virus was even released in Raccoon City during RE1... Or was it?

Nope I pretty sure it wasn't... cuz the events of RE2 were like... 3 months after RE1 or something...

Maybe they'll fit it in some way with weirdness or something

It seems that they are using the graphics engine "similar"(saying that sarcastically) to the 'Cubes Re's. I wonder how it will look fully in motion when finished. But overall, it will sell since its the only RE('s) the PS2 is getting.

Gun Survivor 4: Biohazard
Publisher: Capcom
Platform: PlayStation 2
Genre: Action + Gun Shooting
Origin: Japan
Release: Spring 2003

Here are some images of Gun Survivor 4 Biohazard taken from Tokyo Game Show. The 4th installment of the popular action gun shooter. This time the story goes back to the Biohazard / Resident Evil universe, the stages will take place in a large oil carrier in the sea, the main characters are all original, not related to the Biohazard series. When you move the character around, the game will change to 3rd person perspective. All the enemy characters are also redesigned.

Unofficial info indicates that the game will is based the "original" Biohazard 3, a full feature story that was removed from Biohazard 3 due to time constraints, now the story is resurrected in Gun Survivor 4: Biohazard.

What do you mean "similar" and why sarcastically?

Well there's a good reason for that... the graphics are fully 3D...

Not only are the backgrounds obviously not detailed and nice enough to be pre-rendered, but in the very first trailer they released I believe the camera moved... like someone was running down a hallway and the camera was following behind him/her...

yep...

I must say the graphics look bad but IT IS RE i mean you can't tell me you wouldn't play it.
It can't be nearly as retarded as RE:Gaiden.
Not sure how the online play will be sounds a little strange for a RE game.

If the RE remake never came out (and RE0 was fully 3D or something) I doubt anybody would be complaining about the RE: Online graphics...

No, people just wouldn't have been spoiled by the realistic pre-rendered NGC graphics and so nobody would be complaining about the graphics... And instead of pissing their pants over graphics graphics graphics when it comes to the RE series, they'd like it for whyever they liked it before... which wasn't graphics... Although I still like the RE series and not because of graphics, and it really pissed me off how everyone was so hyped about the game (RE remake) simple because of GRAPHICS and then they get the game and it seemed like a lot of people were a bit dissapointed and just thought the game was "Ok"...

But whatever, the RE series would still be perfectly fine (If not better) if the RE never had graphics like that and nobody would be complaining about the graphics in this game...

*shrugs*...

Maybe they would though, I dunno... although I think you were the only person to say anything about how the graphics aren't all that great :p
