View Full Version : EA Sports vs Sega sports... it's on now

Today EA just pulled the same move Sega made on EA with Madden... How Sega pushed NFL 2k3's release date back to the 13th to release the same day as Madden.

Sega was going to release NBA 2k3 on the 8th, and NBA Live was going to be out the 18th... think again. EA Pushed back the date to directly compete with Sega :D

I don't get why Sega started a war they just can't win... Madden rapped NFL 2k3 on the sales charts, and the same will happen to NBA 2k3. At this rate, NHL 2k3/2003, March Madness/NCAA, Triple Play/World series... and every other sports game for the rest of the year will be released at the same time.

Which brings me to my question... who do you think has the better line-up? And who do you think will win in sales?

I dunno, does it really matter? I dont even know why they bother tryin to compete with EA, people will just buy what they want, like me. I'm gonna get NHl 2K3 instead of NHl 2003, why? Because I feel like it.

I have never liked Madden, and I still dont after renting the 2K3 version for Gamecube. I like Sega's interface better, and my 12 year old brother beats me 4 out of five times with maddens rigged gameplay system, not so on Sega's superior football videogames.

But most likely EA will always outsell, because they have the madden name.

Yeah, EA is one of the best selling developers. I think that's because the majority of the people buy sports games more than other games...

But I prefer Sega Sports. I love those 2k games.

I'll be getting NHL 2003 over NHL2k3

simply because it feels much smoother. and the major reason. Online play baby! :D i think nhl2k3 can go online with xbox. but NHL2003 goes online with PC and more can be done with it. specially now that i have my PS2 controller on my PC. so it feels just like im playin the PS2 with better graphics :)

I would rather Sega win against EAgames because there games are higher quality.

From what I've hear Sega isn't doing really well... :confused:
