First of all, Street hoops.

I think this game is under rated. Well, maybe it isn't. It has bad graphics, and below par gameplay... but it's oddly addicting.

As for Tekken 4... outstanding. Everything I expected it to be, and better than I expected in most areas. If you liked any of the old Tekkens, I suggest you buy or at least rent this game. I only got an hour with it and I have fallen deeply in love with it.

At the Arcade Jin... but I din't know he was locked :(

So right now Hworang is my current Favorite...

The thing that makes this Tekken stand out to me is... it has a STORY LINE!!! The old games make you guess what is happening, this one is much more clear.

As far as TTT... TTT doesn't even hold a condle to it IMO. Visually, how it plays, options, etc make Tekken 4 better. All TTT has is Tag mode, which isn't good enough to kill off Tekken 4.

Yes it does have a story to follow. I've heard many ppl talk bout it, but I never followed it. KOF has one too, and I still haven't payed att to it since 94.

While Hworang is good, you should try to master Steve. He is so damn quick. If you put an expert Steve player against an expert Hwoarang player, Steve will win. He has a lot more high priority moves over Hworang.

I like Hworang too. Nice kicks. But they are too slow compared to some of the other chars. He's one of the first chars I mastered.

Personally for me, TTT was a lot more fast paced and there were more juggles. The game flowed with tactics and combos.

Whereas T4 poking is the highest priority. Which requires skill......depending on how you poke. I'm used to this from KOF and CVS. But I think it's a good all round fighting game. Graphics are nice.........music SUX (especially the stage outside the shopping centre).

VF excels over Tekken any day. I've said this since VF2 days! So many more options/tactics. Balanced characters. Unfortunately it wasn't as popular @ the arcades. But there was this one guy who I used to challenge and we'd have the best challenges all day.

VF4 is my favourite 3d fighter, just following SC and then Tekken4.

Haven't played SC2 much......

Kof and CVS reign 2d fighters (actually all fighters IMO).

I think an Exper player with one of those break Dancers could probably kill anybody who doesn't have expert defence.

As for Steve, he's tough, but I like to kick because there can be more distance put on your kicks. Hworang isn't a good fighter at all in my book anymore... he's just the only one on the game who is unlocked that I know most of the moves for (due to Tekken 3)

I was a hardore VF fan, but I stopped liking it when VF3 came out for DC. Nothing against the gameplay, but not enough changes from game to game. VF1 beats Tekken 1, VF2 was tied with Tekken 2, then VF3 got killed by Tekken 3/Tag... I'm not going to buy another VF game, no matter how much it was hyped up. Maybe VF5, but they just don't change the game enough.

The story is stupid, and the boss makes no sense. The presentation had no improvements either.

VF is a good pure fighter, but it isn't a fun game to pop in with friends because of the bland moves, charicters with no personalities, and the fact that I never lose. I saw no difference in Pai from VF1-3... that goes for pretty much all of the VF1 guys. If you masterd them on VF1, you masterd them on the shole series.

VF4's presentation is much better over VF3's. By presentation I'm assuming you mean the way all the options and chars are presented. But ur right story is virtually not there.

But the fighting system is VF4 is a huge improvement over VF3. The characters are more balanced. And this is why I like VF4. You can use all the chars! Vanessa is so damn good! They all have their ads and disads over each other. And it's very hard to find fighting games whereby nearly all the chars are good to use.

My mates are experts in VF4. Basically we play VF4 , KOF, and CVS (and SC).

We usually play till late hours of the morning with VF4. But you have to have mastered the games tactics and stuff. As for Pai, I never really used her. I use Akira and Old man Shun. I do see your point though about having friends over when playing fighting games. Normally I'll put DOA 3 on (for my mates who don't play fighting games) and they are like "whoa!" and I'm like "this is the dodgiest fighting game I've ever played".

I take it you don't play 2d fighters much....... If you don't u should try em out. CVS and KOF are really really good. There are so many choices in your moves, virtually unlimited. So there are many different tactics ppl use.

I think I may give VF4 a chance now.... but this is Sega's last chance for me to poor $$$ into that series.

I'm a big fan of Marvel vs Capcom and other games like it... I haven't played enough KOF to judge it. Is KOF out for Ps2/GCN/DC/Psx/N64 in the states? I've been wanting to try it out but I have had no luck finding it.

I agree that VF1-3 were bad ports to Saturn/DC, but VF4 makes up for those.

Yeh i forgot MVC. MVC2 is awesome.

I don't know if Kof2001 is on Ps2, but u can get the emulator and a controller and get it for Pc. I have the Kof Series.

Before you play, make sure some1 teaches u. U can't really learn on ur own. Coz there are moves, but more importantly, you need to know the tactics. Same goes with CVS2. Both are excellent games.

Oh yeh I use Lei as well in T4. He's got some interesting tactics (pretty much the same as TTT which is GOOD!)
