Project Ego and B.C. are both looking fantastic. It will be really interesting to see a demo of B.C. soon.

Could someone start showing real-time GAMEPLAY instead of real-time cut scenes? No ofense but in this day they can manipulate cut-scenes so they enhance everything much beyond the way it is while you play. If you want an example look at StarFox Adventures. It's all real-time cut scenes but the detail jumps up when you get in a cut-scene and then is back to normal. That's because you can use more power for these enhancment since there is not much of the engine used "fixed camera angels", no AI, no physics, lighting manipulated manually instead of by the game engine, etc.

Uh, mush of what was posted in the Halo screens WAS Real time gameplay, I'm not sure about the rest though. I've seen some realtime Fable screens and they looks just as good as many that may appear to be cut scenes. Hell, I don't think Fable really has any cut scenes in it.

did you know that maybe they're hard to FIND?

I'm only showing the latest screenshots released for each game...so don't get your panties in a bunch, mircea...

If you played Halo then you would know that the graphics engine used during each of the cut scenes was the exact same one that they used IN GAME. Now could they have tweaked the crap out of it? Sure, but I doubt there will be any major differences.

Love your Perfect Dark icon Stu.

Strangler how can you say that Halo is mostly gameplay if it's a FPS, and you see the character in all of the screen shots??

Did you play the first game at all? If you played multi-player you would know that you would be able to see Master Chief. Also, in my last post I pointed out that the cut scenes in Halo used the same graphics engine as the real time game performance, so the graphics probably won't change much from the cut scenes to the in game action. Please read my last post again. Thank you.

you see the character in Fable, and BC, as well as that Black and White game...

so those are accurate to what you'll see in gameplay, I assume

and with Halo, during gameplay, you'll see those environments looking that good. and the gun textures, etc.

and Strangler is right about multiplayer...you do see the characters

Fable is faar too complicated to describe here. IGN has an EXCELLENT preview of the game. I suggest you go there and take a look.

It's not massively multiplayer online stuffs... I don't think it's online at all :-o

But it's like an action/adventure/RPG type of thing, only there's sooooo much more to it than that... like Strangler said, go read IGN's preview :p

well i just read IGN's 4 page preview on Fable. that is gonna be one hell of a game. my only concern is how they will fit a good storyline into a game like that. well, its on my to-buy-list when it comes out.

For me, if they pull off all those gameplay things right, I couldn't care less about the story ;)

Ok so maybe I'm exagerating, but I don't see how they couldn't fit in a good storyline... infact, since the game can span over like many many many years, I think they could fit a GREAT storyline in there...

yeah, but if you can change the characters personality and reputation and attitude, it should be quite complicated to make a story to back that up. like in other rpgs, all the characters have certain attitudes and personalities and the story usually revolves around that (that and some evil person wanting to destroy the earth or some crap). but either way, with just all those gameplay aspects, its worth a buy methinks.

Is it worth an X-Box??

Fortunately I know some ppl who have a Box, so I can always play it there, or temporarely trade my GCN for their XB.

Th great thing about this game is that you're actions will directly affect the attitudes and personalities of the NPC's. If you cut a kid on the cheek when you come to a town, and then return 20 years later, that kid will be grown, have a scar where you ccut him, his family will hate you and the now grown child you ddisfigured will most likely try and kill you. Conversely, if you helped the kid with something, he and his family would most likely love you.

I can see how this would interfere with a storyline, but much like Morrowind I imagine there will be specific tasks you must complete to finish the quest that may go against the friendships you have made. Thats the only way I can think of that the storyline could work. But then again, Molyneaux is a master of innovation, so he may have something brand new for us all.

I also like the fact that there are other heroes in the land trying to earn respect and admiration from the townspeople, and some even team up and will fight you if you're getting too high in the ranks...and you can make alliances with some people and take them on...or that you can carve your name into a tree when you're a teenager, and then come back to that tree 20 years later and still see your name there.

Ahhhh...

And Angrist, if you're implying that this would be the only game worth buying on XBox, you're more than way off. This game alone might not be worth an XBox...but Halo 2, Rareware, Fable, BC etc. are definately worth an XBox

I know... it's just that I already have 4 consoles at home... and I have some friends with a Box so I'll just play them there or something. Sorry uncle Bill... :(

I'm buyin an Xbox next year when I get a job..mainly because of this game and Shenmue 2, but.. B.C. sounds amazing. Plus theres the other stuff that Stu mentioned as well as games like UT2003 and Mech Assault Online that will go well with Xbox Live.

Xbox games really are starting to look good but I have a feeling there’s better to come from Xbox. I have just modded my Xbox with the Evo-X Xbox Bios so I can start coding again (It's been a long time). And I must say Xbox has impressed me no ends So far I have just coded in DX8 making 3d objects move around on screen but even at my pitiful level of coding I’m getting some kool **** out of it Xbox really does have a lot of power under the hood.
