Doubt if any of you have used this, but I've been using it at work for about 2 weeks and it rocks, ie it retains all the (sane) functions of Microsoft Office whilst retaining compatibility with almost al file formats.
Basically a free version of Office apps for those of you who can't afford it, or don't want to warez it. 50 MB download.
No, it doesn't come with Outlook/Lookout/Outbreak.

Bow down to open source, fools, and get out of the M$ continuous upgrade cycle.

I downloaded Office v.X off Limewire. This looks cool though. Nice find sdtPikachu.

Not really a nice find... it's been about for ages, but it only went v1.0 a month or so ago.
Yes Jason1, it includes a word processor, an Excel-alike, a powerpoint-alike and all of the other stuff you'd expect and is compatible with almost every M$ Office file (it doesn't like files containing macros etc though, quite right too IMO).
GameMaster, I really REALLY wouldn't get your warez offof file sharing networks if I were you. They are notorious for hosting trojans in re-hacked version of the software. Stick to the warez sites if you have to.

I know this sounds ignorant on my part but I've always wanted to say this in a sentence that affected me in a positive manner:
That doesn't apply to me. I have a Mac. :D

And Macs are immune to all viruses and trojans?
:D

Yep, for the most part. Since our first computer, seven years ago, we've had only Macs and not once have we received a virus or trojan. :D

I can assure you, if you persist on getting warez from P2P, you won't stay virus free for very long.
Can I just ask, how do you know you've not been infected by a trojan?

When you say warez, are you referring to warez.com or is it your term for pirated software. I don't go nor download anything from warez.com however I do use a file sharing program.
How do I know that I don't have any trojans, Norton Antivirus.

Norton antivirus and many others can typically only tell if you've got a "common" trojan. Many of the trojans that appear in warez are custom built by the people who crack or re-crack them, and are especially designed to avoid standard AV "what kinda things does a trojan do?" searches.

Well, considering the fact that I have a Mac which is such a small group in respect to the number of PC users, most programmers/hackers have not developed little bugs to attack Apple systems. Maybe I have one though, perhaps I don't. I also have a software program designed to search for general symptoms so that also cuts my chances down a little. Now my chances of receiving a virus and/or trojan are down to about 3%. Not for all people but for me, that's safe enough to partake in the danger of file sharing.

I'd like ot respectfully remind SgtPikachu and GameMaster that Warz programs are illegal, talk about them if you must, but no links please (they'll be deleted), as far as P2P goes, there's alwasy a cance of Viruses in any P2P file, but as soon as they are found, MacCAffe, Norton, and all other VirusScan companies sen you an "UPdate" for your DAT fiels to scan them again, I have several VirusScan/Spyware decteion programs which I use for my P2P files, and unless I can consider them "Secure", I keep them quarrentined to one section of the HDD, I have a ton of MP3s like this (beofre the dawn of the felt-tip marker problems), and a few Videos (obviously taken off of a DV Camcorder connected to a TV for a Japanses TV show), but I don't DL Software or anything that requires a Cracking tol, because they are a Virus magnet like no other. Also the ony sofware that deserves pirating is made by Adobe and M$, because they charge an outrageous price for stuff that other companies make for free, or cheap (Paintshop por is $100 Adobe Photoship is $#700, you do the math), so right now I think they're just "Juicing" your wallet for alittle extra $$$ since their competitors have to be crushed ot ensure they ca conitnue their onslaught of upgrades.

Ironically, those two programs are the only ones I downloaded, Office and Photoshop. However, I can't find any workingserial numbers for Photoshop 7

I am perfectly aware of this, and I only brought the subject up because I didn't want people to get fuxxored over due to getting their warez off filesharers. Personally, I don't use warez anymore (either having bought or stopped using the programs in question, or having found equally good or better open source alternatives), but I am aware of how many people do, and am also aware of having about 10 friends who've had a lovely reformat on their hands due to virii from file shared apps.
Like I said, if you must use warez, stick to the warez sites.
Otherwise, either buy the software in question or learn how to use google. Then you'll be able to find some alternatives you don't have to pay for, like OpenOffice, the GIMP, CD-EX, HTTrack, Hummingbird, StrokeIt, Motherboard Monitor, and a shedload of others (all for Win32, not just Linux).

Like I said, linking warez sites to GT is a violation of our TOS< but talking about it isn't.
I personally think that if you need a PC with Warez running on half the Machine, than either A) You have too much software, or B) You're getting stuff that costs too much anyway, as I said Paintshop pro is just as goood as photoshop and works just as good, if not better in terms of UI layout, and Ease of Use. The H*ll with Adobe and M$, if I couldget some of this stuff and have it "Spyware-Free" ina Freeware form, I'd be happy as a Clam, learn about Oepn Soucre coding liek I intend too, it's the best wa to get free software legally, and even buisness tycooons making money hand over fist like the idea of "Free Software" for everyone, don't asky why, but I think ity's so they can hammar you on hardware.
