This will probably be one of Nintendo's bigger projects.
September 19, 2002 - Earlier today in Sydney, Australia, Nintendo began filming the US commercial for its upcoming 3D first-person adventure Metroid Prime. IGN was on the set. We'll have a full report on the commercial next week along with first videos, extended details and more, but here's what we know so far:
Nintendo is clearly aiming to target the adult audience with the advertisement, which comes as something of a relief. The commercial is being directed by the stylistic Alex Proyas, who made both The Crow and Dark City. The spot will place an emphasis on looking through the eyes of lead character Samus Aran.
Filming kicked off in an abandoned power plant in Sydney, which has a dark and gritty feel to it. We've been told by the producers that it's the same place where the Wachowski brothers filmed the security shoot-out scene in The Matrix. It's very impressive.
The production team has thus far been shooting footage of a live action Samus (check out the sweet suit below) running around the environment. Lots of wire-work and blue screen angles have also been utilized, and we're told that massive postproduction efforts will bring everything together. We envision a complementary blend of live action and computer graphics.
This has only been a taste of what is bound to be one of this year's best game commercials. Check back next week for an an-depth look as we take you further into the set with new looks, high-resolution screenshots, video downloads and much, much more.

I know it looks a little weird with the bright suit in the Darker surroudings but on Film it should show up better, and theres nothing a little CG cant fix.
